Autumn equinox and the end of summer time. I felt so proud of finishing this project-a very detailed 70s shawl, which demands endless hours of attention and precision-and we went for a walk just to observe the natural colors of leaves changing providing us with a unique visual pleasure, that nature is not only for sunny days but for rain and wind, too.. . . . . It was such a unique coincidence to finish my first big crochet project on the corn moon. An experience that taught me that maths can be fun and engaging. Also, some photos from a lovely walk, and by observing the spider webs, I recognised the same patterns in knitting and crochet and how many goals can be achieved through patience and resilience. Glad to have finished this project. Bonnet is very recognizable, nowadays, as a fashion trend. However, it has a long history from Ancient times to medieval, was mostly worn by women of lower social class and slaves, the reason was that it protected them by weather conditions and the endless hard job in the fields. Later, the high class took it as a headgear of religious modesty and of course for its practicality. Military also designed headgear based on the same concept. I'm wearing it as a working girl just like my grandmothers. Also, another lovely find. Some recent paintings... The third one is a reference to the traditional folk song, "Polly Vaughn", a ballad of a tragic tale, it has many narratives and interpretations. The reason I felt inclined towards that story is because of the swan. They are very mysterious creatures, carrying timeless grace and allure. They have been connected through history with many goddesses, such as Venus and Diana. Two drawings, one of a maiden and one of a crone. ✨ Maiden - with closed eyes, breathing silently, dreaming of a better world, driven by desire, hungry for new experiences. ✨ Crone - independent, with open eyes gazes with honesty and accepts new experiences. Talks with wise words. Didn't draw the Mother, since I believe it's a phase of a continuous loop between these phases, it's not necessarily connected with the act of bearing children, but about the stability, the emotional resilience..
