Enchanted Ball at the #steelstacksbethlehem was delightful. Everyone looked gorgeous, there were so many beautiful costumes. Our group tied for first place in the costume contest, finally ending my losing streak lol. I hope they do this event again so we can hang out with the new friends we made. Got a chance to visit Belvidere NJ for the annual Victorian Days event. It was a little hot for this wool walking ensemble but I'm glad I got a chance to wear it. Saw some incredible plein air painting and fun shopping opportunities while there.

This year's event felt less busy, which is likely due to the weather. The live bands are one of the reasons I love this event, so I was really disappointed that one of the booths was blasting modern music, it came across as disrespectful of the performers. I might try and do a booth next year or ask if they'll let me run a costume contest in 2026 since the fashion show is kind of problematic.

I'm definitely in a plaid kick lately.

Working on an 18th century outfit that's got some unintended Outlander vibes. I'm heavily inspired by the McTavish wedding dress but am limited in this creation as I'm using scraps left over from a commission. I have no idea where my client got this beautiful wool or would two and hunt down more.

I took my latest creation out for a test run today. This Victorian walking ensemble is a combination of wool and cotton fabrics and I adapted the Seaside Costume from Black Snail Patterns to make it. I think I just need to make a belt, a hat and maybe some more trim and it'll be complete.

Almost done with my Victorian walking ensemble. I have a ton of trim to add to it and still have to attach the sleeves. I was inspired by McQueen and wanted to do something paid for awhile. A BIG thank you to @melinda.haren for the fabric donation to make this beautiful outfit.
