It took over 200 miles, 10+ hours of travel, 4 days of sewing our dresses, several train, subway, and bus passes to arrive in NYC just to get yelled at by @netflix staff at yesterday's fan event.

I had a great time with @1geek2craftall. I'm disappointed we were turned away from the event, along with hundreds of others who were dressed and ready to mingle. I really wanted to enter to win tickets to the premier and meet other costumers and talk about the upcoming season. The event organizers didn't think through some pretty important steps when it comes to large scale events like this. It was a lost opportunity for @bridgertonnetflix to make a connection with their fans, many of whom bought costumes just for the day.

To make sure I'm focusing on the silver lining, I'm going to use this experience as a case study for my business that highlights how to avoid building negative touchpoints into a customer journey.

Single pattern contest from Costume Con: there were 5 patterns to choose from, but over half of us chose this one from Vintage Vogue. It’s actually a dress, but I was not the only one who decided to make a coat instead! So interesting to see how we took the same pattern in such different directions. Here are a few.

Help me tag the people I missed please! So nice to meet everyone!

I feel like the universe sent these four ladies into my life in one package and me into theirs for a powerful reason. I’ve been looking for a group of women that I can see in person, on the daily who empower one another and who have a passion for empowering other women... women who also aren’t afraid to show their souls and express their truth and all that comes with it.. when the five of us are together there’s a divine force at play and I don’t exactly have the words to describe it yet, except for that it feels magical. Thank you @idakini for being the portal that brought us all together. #dakiniteachertraining2018 #2018 #love #empoweringwomen #empoweredwoman #empower #selflove #bodypositive #dance #teacher #life #dakini #movement @smj_pole @daddysmetalchick666 @yuijedi @fitchickwithapit
