@simoncreativehouse / THE STUDIO DISPATCH NOVEMBER 2026 | CREATIVE PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT SIMON CREATIVE HOUSE AND @malcolmachavis PARTNER TO DEVELOP ORIGINAL SCRIPTED SERIES Simon Creative House (SCH) is partnering with actor and writer Malcolm A. Chavis to develop original scripted entertainment, beginning with a new series currently in development. The collaboration brings Chavis’s perspective as a performer and storyteller together with SCH’s independent approach to creative development and production. Together, the partners intend to develop stories from the earliest ideas through the writing and production process. The original series is one part of a wider collaboration. In addition to scripted work, SCH and Chavis plan to explore story-led brand collaborations and other projects built around compelling characters and meaningful narratives. The partnership is not limited to vertical series or any single distribution format; the story will guide the form. Chavis’s past screen work includes 72 Hours, Blue Bloods, Oldhead the Movie and he is regularly cast in commercial work. The original series title, plot, production schedule and distribution arrangements have not been announced. Simon Creative House develops and produces original and commercial storytelling. The collaboration with Chavis reflects its commitment to building work with creators—not simply producing content for clients. Restaurant marketing has gone stale. Here’s what we’d do as a production studio to shake up in industry here in Arizona ✍️ Build a scripted social series around five girlfriends meeting for happy hour in Scottsdale. Bad dates. Career drama. A server who knows too much. Think Sex and the City meets Friends. Here’s the thinking: recurring characters give people someone to care about. Unfinished stories give them a reason to return. And every episode makes the restaurant more familiar. The ambition is to make someone think, “That needs to be our spot.” @cava has already explored this territory with its own dating show. Same with @chipotle ! Other brands are producing sitcoms and scripted social series. We see an opportunity to bring that approach to Arizona’s independent restaurants. We’d also hire local creatives and talent to help us bring this to life! The food gets people through the door. The experience gives them stories to tell. We’d build the show around both. Arizona locals: which restaurant do you think would be perfect for this? by @simoncreativehouse
@simoncreativehouse is our indie, family owned media and production company who’s mission is to build media properties, shows, documentary’s and campaigns around extraordinary talent and brands. These projects represent some of what we’ve created over the past year, and the people who trusted us to bring their stories to life. We’re also looking to work with more local businesses here in the Phoenix metro area. From creative strategy and storytelling to video production, social content, and campaigns, we help businesses show people what makes them worth choosing. Content, media, and marketing play a bigger role now more than ever in how people discover businesses and decide where to spend their money. We want to help our community tell clearer stories, entertain and connect with customers, and turn that attention into people walking through the door. Thank you to our collaborators, clients, and every person behind the camera who helped make this work possible. Proud of what we’re building together. More to come! YOU HAVE A SHOW HIDDEN INSIDE YOUR BUSINESS. How do we turn something you already do into something people want to follow? Our process: 1. FIND THE SIGNAL What are people already coming to you for? Start with proven interest, not content ideas. 2. CREATE THE FORMAT Turn that value into something repeatable. A show, series, documentary, interview format or recurring concept. 3. BUILD THE WORLD Develop the visual language, storytelling, episodes and production around one recognizable idea. 4. CREATE THE ECOSYSTEM The show becomes the source. YouTube, social, products, partnerships, events and community grow around it. That’s the part businesses often miss. Don’t just create content around your business. Find the media property inside your business. That’s what we do at @simoncreativehouse If you’re a founder, creator, athlete, expert or brand with something people already care about: We’ll help you find the show hiding inside it. by @simoncreativehouse
Over the past year, our team at @simoncreativehouse has built a special creative partnership with @vascotranslator and @vascotranslatorusa A little about them, Vasco Electronics is a Polish technology company building AI-powered translation devices designed to help people communicate across language barriers. The bigger idea behind the technology is simple: Help people understand each other. And over the past year, that has essentially been our job too. Their team is based in Poland. Our team is in the United States. Together, we’ve developed branded content, documentaries, campaigns and more designed to introduce Vasco’s technology to American audiences and show people why this kind of technology matters in real life. So in a strange way, our partnership has become an embodiment of the product itself. Different countries. Different cultures. Different perspectives. Still finding a way to understand each other and create something together. You’re probably wondering how the heck are we able to do this with all of these barriers? Well, as someone who is proving that distance shouldn’t be an issue when creating, the most valuable skill you can learn as a creative is how to effectively communicate your ideas, and ensure they accomplish a brands business goals. Stay lean, stay flexible, stay open minded and execute fast. Have systems in place and everyone should know their role. I’ll be sharing more bts about the brand, be on the lookout for their Black Friday and Prime Day content, if you travel or work a job where languages barriers exist, you’ll want to check out their offers out. See you soon! by @simoncreativehouse
This is RAW BTS — an ongoing look inside how @simoncreativehouse develops and produces the work. Swipe to see our full vlog! No polished case study. No finished campaign. Just us on set, figuring it out. Most people only see the finished piece. We want to show the work that happens before it 📸 A look behind the scenes of a recent Simon Creative House production with MLB athlete Geraldo Perdomo from creative direction and lighting to shot design, performance, our collaborative process getting this campaign finished, and reviewing takes in real time. Our job on set is bigger than making something look good. We’re constantly asking: Does this feel like the person? Does the idea translate visually? Are we getting moments that people will actually remember? Does every creative decision serve the story? That’s the part of production we love most: taking an idea that only exists in conversation and slowly turning it into something real. We are making a documentary series for @vascotranslatorusa and we’re halfway through the project now, with three more episodes to go, but I wanted to share some insights and our journey with VASCO helping them create stories. I wanted to share some BTS on how my crew and I at @simoncreativehouse get ready to make our projects. The series we’re creating is called “In Their Words,” where we feature immigrants who came to America in pursuit of a better life, overcame the obstacles of starting over, and built success in their own way while carrying their culture, identity and traditions with them. Every episode asks a few simple questions: Where did you come from? What did you have to overcome? What did you build? What did you bring with you? What can the world learn from your story? For us, making a documentary starts long before we turn the cameras on. It starts with research, conversations, understanding the person and their world, finding the real story underneath the surface, and figuring out how we can create an environment where someone feels comfortable enough to tell us the truth. This is a little look at how we prepare to do that. Three episodes down. Three more to go. These are their stories, told in their words. I’ll be sharing more bts for this project and others, subscribe to my substack for more in depth stories and insights on how we are building media around brands, companies and extraordinary people. #docuseries #brandedcontent #director by @simoncreativehouse
I never made it to the @nfl , but being in media has helped me stay close to the game 🏈 As an athlete, that was a dream I chased for years. But life had other plans for me. This week, I was invited by Chamelo Eyewear to the @sack_summit to help document one of the biggest gatherings of NFL talent in the country. Being behind the camera instead of on the field gave me a different perspective on the game. Our job wasn’t just to capture content. It was to help tell the story of how athletes experienced a new technology, document authentic reactions, and create media that connects a brand with people through real moments. It reminded me that sports and storytelling have always been inseparable. The scoreboard tells you who won. Media tells you why it mattered. Whether you’re a photographer, filmmaker, editor, or production company, you’re not just documenting moments…you are preserving emotion, building narratives, and creating the stories that fans remember long after the final whistle. As entertainment continues to evolve, I believe sports will remain one of the last great arenas of unscripted human drama. There will always be a need for people who know how to capture those moments with intention. Grateful to Chamelo for the invitation and the opportunity to work alongside incredible athletes and their team. Looking forward to seeing where these relationships and stories lead next. #nfl #chameloeyewear #sportsmedia #filmmaker #director by @simoncreativehouse
Most brands ask, “How do we get more attention?” We started with a different question: “What story is worth telling?” For this series with @vascotranslatorusa , we drew inspiration from @chefstableofficial and built something around language, culture, identity, and the people behind the technology. The product isn’t the story. The people are. That’s the direction we’re betting on as filmmakers. Create films that audiences would want to watch whether there’s a brand attached or not. Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing the entire process from research, the pre-production to interviews, cinematography, and editing, as we build this documentary series in public. Keep making it creatives. Big shoutout to the production team yesterday! @brittanysimon___ @chrisby_ Shot with Sony FX30 and with a @prismlensfx macro lense Restaurant @courserestaurantaz by @simoncreativehouse
A few days ago, Vasco Electronics trusted us to build a six-episode documentary series called In Their Words. The goal isn’t to make commercials. It’s to tell human stories. Episode one follows Dr. D, an Iranian-American chiropractor whose life was changed by a devastating car accident. What started as a conversation about language quickly became a story about pain, healing, resilience, and purpose. After the interview, the work shifted into post-production. I backed up footage, transcribed the interview, and started digging for the story hidden inside nearly an hour of conversation. One of the ways I’m approaching this project is by using AI as a creative research partner. I use Claude to analyze transcripts, identify recurring themes, surface emotional moments, and help me organize narrative possibilities. It doesn’t tell the story for me—it helps me see patterns faster. From there, I compare my findings against lessons from documentary filmmakers, editors, and storytellers I trust. I study interviews, editing breakdowns, documentaries, and lectures to understand how great filmmakers uncover meaning, create emotional movement, and build narrative from real life. The technology helps me move faster. The storytelling is still human. Over the next few months, I’m going to document this entire process—from production and editing to creative breakthroughs and mistakes—as we build this series from the ground up. Because the finished film is only half the story. Filmed on @sonycine FX30 The journey of making it is the other half. More coming 🔜 #filmmaker #documentary by @simoncreativehouse
Part two of our rebrand project for @evoscottsdale EVO has been a staple late night hangout and happy hour spot for a loooong time. My wife @brittanysimon___ and I have frequently visiting this establishment for years, so when they asked us to help them with their media, we jumped at the opportunity. This locally owned, Italian-inspired, late night spot has been a favorite for the night life industry and Old Town locals alike. Built for dinner, drinks, date nights, family gatherings, and the kind of conversations that make people stay longer than they planned. That’s what we wanted to capture. Some people are there before a wild night out, while others are slowing down to reconnect or enjoy a first date together. The energy of this place is unforgettable. We wanted to thank @evo_bobkat and @neuman.nick for allowing us the opportunity to show how dope their restaurants are. Don’t miss out on the best happy hour in the valley at either location. Big shoutout to @chrisby_ for the phenomenal edits and photography for this project 👏🏾 🎥 Simon Creative House 📍 EVO Old Town Scottsdale Cast and crew: @ian.simon55 @brittanysimon___ @chrisby_ @alinicolelytle @heather.prender. by @simoncreativehouse
Most restaurant content sells food. We wanted to sell a feeling. Over the last few weeks, we’ve been helping @evonorthscottsdale reimagine how their story is told online, not just through dishes and drinks, but through atmosphere, energy, and the people who make the experience possible. This is Part 1 of our rebrand project with EVO North Scottsdale. A look at the details, textures, conversations, and moments that turn a restaurant into a place people return to again and again. Because great hospitality isn’t just served on a plate. It’s felt the moment you walk through the door. If you’re in the north Scottsdale area, we highly recommend them for happy hour and dinner by @simoncreativehouse
