I guide you on a journey from feeling lost, stuck, & discontented in life, to Aligned, Alive & Fulfilled ✨
Therapy (UKCP), Workshops & Retreats
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Hi, I’m Simone Da Costa 👋
I'm an Integrative Psychotherapist, Transpersonal HSP Coach, Yoga Teacher and Self-Development workshop facilitator.

That's me professionally, but personally, I'm a lifelong seeker of all things personal growth and spirituality, nature lover and health enthusiast. I love self-reflection, lazy days at home, a margarita girls' night, beach days, forest walks, dancing, tennis, and the gym.

I always wish I could paint beautiful things but my creativity lies instead in the creation of my workshops and programs which are always a unique blend of my years of personal spiritual exploration, yoga, meditation with psychotherapy and psychology which allows for a truly transformative mind, body and soul experience that I love.
I also created two books of journal prompts to help with your self-rediscovery and self-care journey; Unfolding and Growing - available worldwide on Amazon!

My passion therapeutically lies in our childhood wounding that often has an impact on our adult relationships, reaction patterns, and overall wellbeing. I help clients uncover and attend to their wounds, identify triggers, and work towards building self-awareness and authentic self-love to no longer just survive in this life and their relationships but to truly grow and thrive.

My mission is to help you reclaim your innate self-worth, find clarity, inner peace, fulfillment, and purpose. I do this through counseling, coaching or my variety of workshops because I believe it is everyone's birthright to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.

Here's how you can work with me:

✨Individual Psychotherapy or Coaching

✨My upcoming 6 week online, group program - Inner Alchemy

✨The Self-Love Sanctuary group therapy.

They're all hosted online and details are on my website- link in bio.

Or get in touch to see which of my services might be the best fit for your needs.

When I talk about growth it’s so important to me to not be adding to any social media comparison or pressure to “be better” or “do more”.

For me growth is actually the opposite, it’s about you finding the nutrients that you specifically need to find ease, root down and rise up.

The nutrients needed for our growth are sometimes things like more stillness, more spaciousness, “me-time”, fun, connection, healthy food, nature, meditation or slowing down.

These are the kinds of goals we’re after in our soft life, healing and growing era. Not more striving and doing. I’m POSITIVE you’re doing enough of that already, am I correct?

Growing is about how we care and nurture ourselves. In my book of journal prompts- GROWING I also guide you through some introspection questions so you can get so specific about YOUR needs and desires for this stage in your life.

It’s important to put our comparison blinders on and zero in on OUR values, needs and desires. THIS is the work of coming home to yourself and showing yourself authentic love and care.

If you’d like to join me on this growth journey you can get a copy of GROWING internationally on amazon - link in bio.

I’m also thinking about creating a free community to grow together! Stay tuned :) 🌱

Reminiscing on the HSP retreat this past June ☺️

It’s such a highlight of my year to work alongside my dear friends @highly.sensitive.humans @drgenevievevonlob @alanfriday_breathwork
And the whole team!
@ecstaticdance.somerset @selgarsorg

On this weekend away we offer a true reset where you get to drop your masks and just BE you.
The community essence and connections made are always such a wonderful bonus to witness.

For the past two years I’ve loved my role leading the yoga classes and holding space on this retreat. It’s felt like a container that I could let my intuition guide me fully and that I can drop effortlessly into my most authentic, connected version of facilitation. 🫶🏼 it’s been such a gift !
Till the next one ! 😉

We spend so much of our lives surrounded by people - their conversations, messages, opinions, expectations- and it can all get really cluttered in our minds.

It can be hard to make a decision when you’re considering the beliefs and opinions of so many people. You have your own opinions too, and they’re really valid.

Connection with other people is beautiful, we need it!
But sometimes, in all that noise, we stop hearing the quiet voice inside us.

The voice that knows what you actually want.
What you’re feeling.
What isn’t working anymore.
What you need.
What you’re longing for.
What feels true for you underneath everyone else’s expectations.

We just need to quiet the external noise sometimes so we can hear ourselves again.
So take this as a gentle reminder to spend some time with you.

Put the phone down. Go for a walk without a podcast. Journal. Meditate. Sit somewhere quietly.
You might be surprised by what comes up when you finally give yourself the space to listen.

In such a social world, it’s important to remember to spend time with yourself too!
It might be only 5 minutes a day but you can try this simple exercise:

Imagine sitting across from yourself… just you, and you…
Asking yourself;
how are you?
No, really? Like , under the surface?
What do you want me to know?
What can I help you with?

Then maybe you’d like to journal what comes up, or not. Even just that moment of quality time with yourself is a powerful dose of self love and care.
Just 5 minutes or less 🤎

Save this for later or send it to someone who needs some self reconnection time 🙌🏼 by @simone__dacosta

The more you lose yourself in everyone else, the more important it becomes to sit with yourself.

We can get so caught up in being there for everyone else that we lose touch with our own needs, feelings, desires and inner voice.

This is your gentle reminder to pause, turn down the outside noise, and make space to hear yourself again.

Self-connection is the quiet path back to yourself and the foundation for creating an outer life that feels truly aligned, fulfilling and successful. by @simone__dacosta

Let’s talk boundaries. 🤎

There are three common types:

Rigid boundaries→ the wall. You keep people out and leave little room for flexibility or connection.

Porous boundaries→ the hedge. There are few clear limits, so other people’s needs, emotions, and expectations can easily make their way in.

Healthy boundaries→ the gate. You get to decide when it opens, when it closes, and who or what you have the capacity for.

And this can be especially important for those of us who are empathetic, highly sensitive, caring, or prone to over-giving. We can become so accustomed to considering everyone else’s needs, feelings and comfort that we lose touch with our own.

Learning to say no, take space, disappoint someone, or simply admit “I don’t have the capacity for this right now” can feel really uncomfortable when you’re not used to it.

But boundaries aren’t about becoming less loving or generous. They’re about making sure you’re included in the care, too.

Because constantly overriding your own needs can take a toll on your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing—leaving you depleted, resentful, overwhelmed and disconnected from yourself.

Healthy boundaries help protect your energy, reduce emotional overload, create healthier relationships, and allow you to give from a place of genuine choice rather than obligation.

**It may not be easy when you’re new to it. But it is essential to your wellbeing**.🤎

Boundaries aren't about keeping people out. They're about staying connected to yourself while choosing what you're available for. 🤎

We spend so much of our lives trying to understand other people.

Why they said that.
What they meant.
Whether they like us.
What they need from us.
How they see us.

But there’s another deeply important relationship that is constantly shaping your entire experience of life:

your relationship with yourself.

Specifically, your relationship with your inner world.

Because you are the person you wake up with every morning. The person whose thoughts you hear all day. The person whose beliefs, interpretations and inner dialogue influence how you experience almost everything.

The way you talk to yourself can affect how you move through relationships, work, challenges, decisions and even the way you see yourself.

And when you aren’t connected to what’s actually happening inside of you, it’s very easy to live from thoughts and beliefs that you’ve never stopped to question.

You can mistake fears for facts.
Old limiting beliefs for truth.
Self-criticism for motivation.
Other people’s expectations for your own desires.

This is why self-connection matters.

Because knowing yourself isn’t just about knowing what you like or what you want.

It’s being able to recognize what’s happening internally — your thoughts, feelings, needs, desires, patterns, and deeper truth.

The more connected you are to yourself, the less likely you are to move through life completely unconsciously, simply reacting to whatever is happening inside or around you.

And that’s what changes things.
Because ultimately, creating a life that feels aligned and fulfilling starts with being able to hear yourself clearly enough to know what alignment actually means for you.
🤎

One thing that has genuinely changed my inner world is learning how to witness my own thoughts instead of automatically believing and following them.

Because your mind is basically the one thing you’re with ALL day. 😂

It’s constantly talking, interpreting, predicting, worrying, remembering, imagining…

And when we’re not paying attention, those thoughts can quietly start running the show — influencing how we feel, what we do, and the decisions we make.

But having a thought doesn’t make it true.

Learning to pause and actually look at what your mind is telling you gives you a choice:
Do I believe this?
Is this actually true?
Is this how I want to see this situation?

Or is there another, more truthful and supportive way to think about it?

That helps put your higher self back in the drivers seat of your mind.
Your mind is an incredible tool. But it was never meant to be the driver.

The practice:
• Witness those thoughts
• Pause
•Test them for validity, honesty and necessity
• If not, readjust them to what’s more helpful and supportive to the situation at hand.

I’m going to quiz you on this in my stories soon! Take notes and be prepared ! by @simone__dacosta
