I want to thank everyone who I’ve had the pleasure to play in front of for the last 13 years with Primal Scream. It truly has been an amazing ride with some many genuinely beautiful people along the way. So so many incredible times, laughs and experiences. That’s the dream right there.
Going forward I will no longer be playing with the band, but I wish them all the very best for the future. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of the band for so long, to have travelled the entire world, to meet the most amazing people and amazing fans and play all those stages.
Primal Scream’s music meant a lot to me even before I was playing those iconic bass lines and when I got that call to audition it felt like divine timing so I’d like to thanks Bobby and Andrew for taking a chance on me all those years ago. I love you all and although not on stage, I’ll always be part of the scream family X

Pic 1 was First time playing in Peru this year . Beautiful crowd X
2nd pic sending out some love from some stage somewhere long the road …

See u all soon X 🤟🏼⚡️❤️

ur all welcome to wherever I go next x

It’s been almost one year without your beautiful light, I’m still trying to figure out how to be in this world without you . Scar tissue that won’t heal, a smile cut short by a moments profound sadness both at once.

The lack of wanting to give myself a vulnerability hangover but the need to honour u beyond the degradation of online declarations . .

Even more so now, I care less about what and who wastes my time and those who have to hurt others because their demons are in hiding. I dwell on words you spoke to me and wrote down that I shall keep forever. The way u believed in me. I cling on to others near you, but mostly i remember your kind, loving, unconditional heart. I try not to feel so lost but really all I can do is let the waves crash and flow. Life becomes more precious for having your love in it. I carried on , collapsed in private moments and carried on. This year has been difficult in so many ways. I will keep writing and keep making u proud . Your warmth and your voice still comforts me.

I’m not so sure about time these days as much of the quality of each moment no matter how long that lasts. To really see each other, the way we did.
I drove to school with u once more in my head and searched for you waiting at the gates remembering your sunlit hair and big sunglasses. I went back to find you anywhere I could. A pain I was always terrified of, edging its way into days without notice. But I realize you are Infact with me in my heart, and I remember I’m the little baby you held in your arms, an unbroken bond.

I think it’s a soul contract we have with this lifetime and I can only with love thank god u were my mother .

Was just reminded of this, exactly this time in October 2019…I had done some shows playing bass with the brilliant @jculpeppermusic at his headline show at Jazz Cafe and All points East, and he asked me to come and film a track with him, @swindleuk + @kieranguymusic but there was a catch . We’d learn the track but then play it in total pitch black, like can’t see ur hand infront of ur face type thing, filming with infrared cameras and also wearing all white so the camera would pick us up. The white bass came in handy too.. so of course I said yes and this was the result .
Joel hasn’t stopped making amazing music, absolute king of groove, love ya man X
