Happy Battle Beasts Friday! Blue Jaguar has eluded me until now so to finally have one is amazing! Huge thanks to @dregec for passing this one on to me. It’s been a pleasure talking collecting with him and also seeing his amazing displays. Also a big shout out to @killercarp who made me privy to this blue beauty possibly being available. Time to make some room - the last pic is my current display where he will most likely move into after he’s properly fitted in an acrylic prison. #toys #battlebeasts #hasbro #toycollector #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

My Dreadnok/Zartan display is looking pretty good so thought I’d share a few pics. None of this came from EBay but could I have sourced it all from there for a price premium - sure. But price isn’t what makes this display so great, no. It’s the fact that the Takara Zartan I got at @thatsepics a local toy shop (that had originally been owned for years by @bigserow ) and was rescued by me - for a great price lol. The original loose (and very clean) Dreadnoks and uncut file cards came from @teebo542 (an awesome vendor who I always enjoy talking too). The open box sealed contents Zartan and swamp skier came from a guy who got a foreclosure goldmine (he got everything for almost nothing and I’ve been buying from him ever since and our conversations are never boring), and a bunch of the Zartan extras came from @billsvintagetoys (he needs no introduction he’s a pillar of our local toy show community). The loose Zartan also came from @bigserow in a trade we made a few months back and for it to come back an 85+ (gold tier) is unreal I mean you could buy 100 Zartans in the wild and not get one this clean. Also @cgagrading is featuring it on their page which is super cool and when I first saw it there it hadn’t been sent to me yet nor did I know it was mine (I had a good feeling though lol). #toys #gijoe #hasbro #toycollector #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

Another insta collection this time a first 21 Kenner Star Wars all @cgagrading graded. These all carry high grades (nothing less then an 85) and most have the U grade so was definitely pumped to find these. And wait is that a Telescoping AFA 85 Luke - you’re damn right it is! #kenner #starwars #toys #toycollection #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

Happy Friday! Just picked up an insta Indy collection all AFA graded. What makes this collection really special though is they are all high grades and all carry the coveted U grades. @cgagrading suspended the loose U grade a while back so these are getting harder and harder to find - I’m not gonna say it but I think we can all agree where these belong!

Another good mail day from @cgagrading. Never thought I’d be able to reasonably acquire any 12 backs let alone my favorite Kenner figure in an AFA 80 with a crystal clear bubble - so stoked. The Empire Yoda is amazing but this might take the top spot it’s close though. #kenner #starwars #toycollection #toycollector #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

Wasn’t able to make the drive to CT work this weekend but I had it on good authority (cause I talked to the guy who was vending there before going lol) that a much closer show would have some items of interest. He told me he purchased a lot from a former Hasbro employee and that can always be a mixed bag but I mainly went for this bagged Keel Haul. The thing that intrigued me is he’s known to either have a silver gun or no gun but these came bagged with Hawks black gun 🤔. #toys #hasbro #mattel #toycollection #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

Custom case day from @cgagrading For some of the items I decide not to grade for one reason or another but still deserve to shine. I also do think especially on open box sealed contents items it’s nice to have the option of seeing what’s inside the box - definitely a cool party trick 😂. #toycollector #toys #hasbro #kenner #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

Some more sick pickups from @billsvintagetoys. I don’t generally get sidetracked by Japanese lines but these are Jetfires ancestors right here and I’ve admired these for a while now and couldn’t resist. I brushed up on the history per my most trusted transformer guide but people who are into Macross already know the history of Takatoku toys their subsequent bankruptcy and all the drama that ensued leading to the whole Sky-Fire vs Jet-Fire craziness. Anyway Jetfire is in the top echelon of Transformers for almost any G1 fan including myself and he definitely is a standout in the line both because of his character as an autobot Jet and also the design being so unique in the run. These Valkyrie Fighters are amazing to have is this condition and one Easter egg @billsvintagetoys pointed out to me was the vintage price sticker from Mr. Big Toyland. They were a small local toy store back in the day that specialized in Japanese toy imports and unfortunately aren’t around anymore. I’ve definitely heard of the store as an adult but sadly It was out of my childhood radius so I never went as a kid. Watching his excitement over that little orange sticker is becoming one of my favorite things about collecting somtimes I think I might be collecting those as much as the toys lol. Oh yeah got a clean Sharkticon too and he looks great in the ode to 86 display #transformers #macross #robotech #hasbro #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

Happy Friday! was at a couple shows last weekend and this is a few of the amazing childhood pieces i picked up. This is my first Madball in over 30 years I only had a few back In the day but I remember playing with them so vividly. I can’t tell you how many people made comments to me as I walked through the show holding it but I could see the memories being unlocked realtime as I walked by so cool. This came from “Dave’s cool Crap” he’s got no IG at the moment but he gave me a pretty good deal on it and he does always have cool crap. CrossBows and Catapults is something I used to play a lot back In the day and the guy that had this at the show basically gave it away as he clearly didn’t want to bring it home lol. I haven’t had a chance to piece it out but it looks pretty much compete and even has the inserts and paper work. Also came with several bonuses including the cyclops/minotaur and some random castle gray skull parts and even firefly’s backpack. Super cool pickups from my childhood I was stoked about #toyshow #toycollection #toys #madball #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

I could probably start another page and just name it cool shit I got from @billsvintagetoys. As such here is a haul I got from him not too long ago - some really nice examples many did/will make it into my personal display. Been looking for a C-3PO worthy of a gold sticker to go with my Lego chrome gold C-3PO with gold tier grade and I think this one has a chance. #starwars #tranformers #gobots #toycollector #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

Happy Friday! Another Battle Beast banger courtesy of my BB brethren @curated_nostalgia. These are some of the most awkwardly oversized/weighted blisters I’ve ever held in my hand how any survived is a miracle. This is my personal favorite of the three chariots so to have this one freshly graded in this condition is absolutely incredible. With the recent addition of Lion/Tiger MOC and now this my Bat display is getting a little nervous realizing it may finally have some competition with the next display I’m cooking up 🦁 🐯 🦌 #battlebeasts #hasbro #toys #toycollection #toycommunity by @simons_toybox

Happy Friday! Was waiting for these to come back from grading but a big and long overdue shoutout to my man @curated_nostalgia. In 2025 I had zero Shadow Warriors/Laser Beasts and now in 2026 I’m one card away from a complete U.S. set - 🤯 his collection is epic the conversations as always are great and I’m once again humbled by his willingness to allow me to add these into the collection. I’m no BB historian but for anyone that doesn’t know these were being released in Japan as laser beasts and here in the U.S. are considered series 4 named Shadow Warriors. Only 12 were released here (there were way more in Japan and they are ridiculously pricey even for loose figures). They had a very short run here I personally never remember seeing them back then and are very challenging to find now and I see more of the foreign cards circulating then these. Alright that only leaves MOC battle chargers should be a breeze finding those 😂 #hasbro #battlebeasts #toys #toycollector #toycommunity by @simons_toybox
