A sort of last minute post to tell you that I am showing work along side Ngân Vũ, Laura Ming Wong, Stella Kalaw and Jessica Chen tonight for a show called ‘Where Words Fail Us’ at EBPCO 6-9pm.

I will be showing work from my ‘Love Language’ series, that I’ve been working on the past few years. ‘Love Language’ was created as a way to celebrate my family and heritage as an American-born Chinese (ABC). I am unlearning my internalized racism and celebrating the hardship that my family have faced since immigrating to a country that never truly accepts them. In this journey I am learning to love and appreciate my family, myself, and the ways we communicate that in our traditions.

This exhibition is in partnership with the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC), the East Bay Photo Collective (EBPCO), and with additional support from Underdog Film Lab and Uproar Design and Print. by @simplysenny

Had the pleasure of photographing one of my forever faves @toucheamore a couple nights ago. Even though I was nervous and had a bunch of anxious energy I was able to run into a lot of old friends and make new friends. It’s a little surreal to think that I’ve been listening to them for so long and photographing them since 2014.
