Travel is so much more meaningful when you leave knowing something you didn’t before.

One of my favorite moments in Belize was learning how chocolate is made from coco bean to the rich chocolate we all know and love. Getting to experience the process firsthand made me appreciate every bite so much more.

Every trip should have a teaching moment. The places we visit have stories worth learning, not just sights worth seeing. 🤎🍫

Waking up to the sound of the Caribbean Sea, biking everywhere barefoot, and ending each day with a sunset that never looked the same twice. 🌴🇧🇿

Staying in Caye Caulker made it so easy to slow down and be present. This bohemian-style villa felt like they belonged on the island. It was laid-back, peaceful, and full of character. Sometimes the place you stay becomes part of the experience, and this was definitely one of those times. 🤍✨

The most misunderstood animals ended up being one of my favorite travel experiences. 🤍

If you’re visiting Caye Caulker, Belize, make sure you head to Iguana Reef Beach around sunset. That’s when the southern stingrays naturally gather along the shore, giving you the chance to see them up close, gently pet them, and sometimes even help feed them with the staff.

Fun fact: stingrays don’t “sting” people unless they feel threatened or are accidentally stepped on. They’re incredibly gentle, and I was shocked by how soft and velvety they felt.

This is one of those unforgettable Belize experiences that’s 100% worth adding to your itinerary.

Swimming with stingrays completely changed the way I see them. 🌊

Stingrays are often misunderstood because people assume they’re dangerous, but they’re actually incredibly gentle animals. Their smooth, velvety texture and calm nature have earned them the nickname “sea puppies.” Most stingrays would rather swim away than interact with people, making this one of the most peaceful wildlife experiences I’ve ever had.
