👔 People always ask about the difference between a full cut suit and a more modern fitting suit whenever I yap on about cut / drape / breaks / lapels. Here is what I mean broken down for ease.

📸 1 - Full Cut English Suit showcasing proper drape. High waisted trousers with a full / half break. 11oz fabric from @alfredbrownltd fabric (Worsted Wool) with a wider and longer fit in the jacket. Far more structure.

These suits are more relaxed in every area, are very comfortable and offer great practicality. IMO you stand out as they elevate your presence by giving you a bolder structure with the extra fabric and support in the shoulders. The line of sight is also clean with the trouser having a single functional pleat, side adjusters on each side propped up by braces.

📸 2 - A modern fitting suit. Cloth from @vitalebarberiscanonico1663 with far less structure. A lot tighter especially in the shoulder and the leg and definitely a tighter wear. Better to wear when you wish to draw less attention.

The trouser is not waist high and the jacket is a little restrictive (despite having little structure).

⁉️ Whilst I prefer the older style full cut suits, I rock both and depending on the occasion.

💼 The importance of dressing well ? When new in your career, dressing as well as you can within your budget is important to paint a good impression and put your best foot forward. Despite what people say about suits being old fashioned or times having moved on, suits are the uniform of business. If you want an easy way to make a good impression whether to a new employer or a new client a well fitted and proportioned suit will give you the first impression you need and make you memorable to all who encounter you.

As a trainee solicitor I used to run shifts at dominoes pizza delivering pizza and customers would refer to me as ‘boss’. In the weekday when transitioning to a suit, the staff in local shops would address me as sir. Try it for yourself.

Before telling me that tech billionaires don’t wear a suit. Are you a tech billionaire ? If not then take some pride in the humble suit. by @singhatelier

Light Beyond Boundaries ✨During our recent Sikhlens Pakistan Heritage Tour, we were blessed with a moment beyond words. At a forgotten temple, bathed in the golden glow of sunset, the descendants of Bhai Mardana sang “Awal Allah Noor Upaya, Qudrat Ke Sab Bandey.”Hearing Guru Nanak’s timeless message carried through Mardana’s lineage was soul-stirring — a reminder that light, love, and oneness transcend walls, faiths, and boundaries. In that silence, with music echoing against the fading sun, history came alive and hearts melted.#sikhlensheritagetour by @singhatelier

The trailer is up.

Bal Choda. Aston Martin. A childhood drawing with the spelling wrong, and a King's Award flag anyway.

☀️🗞️ Spending the final weekend of the Summer with @hsw.gs enjoying the Hampstead sunshine at the FT. Engaging sessions, thought provoking conversations and genuinely useful takeaways.

As busy professionals, it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture and become absorbed in the day to day. These sessions served as a timely and valuable reminder of several important themes with the highlights for me being:

• The ongoing debate around the value of University education.

• The future of entrepreneurship, with insightful contributions from Joanna Jensen on EIS investing and the key tax reliefs available to higher earners alongside a fascinating discussion with James Wise on his work with the UK Sovereign AI Fund and start up businesses.

• Practical wellness strategies with Olga Donica — a session that resonated deeply, underscoring that burnout remains a very real and often silent challenge, even behind outward success and smiles.

• An inspiring conversation with Paul Smith, massively relevant given my longstanding interest in menswear. by @singhatelier

👳🏽‍♂️ Well done to the little brother @m.5ingh on the opening of his new Frurt store in the heart of the city on London Road. He’s got big business boots to fill with his family’s business legacy and pedigree but it’s quite clear just from the buzz today that the store will be one hell of a success.

🍦If you’re in town, go and check it out. The product does all the talking. It’s that good, I missed my beloved Arsenal kicking off the campaign for the frozen yoghurt.

Kudos to young Singhs creating business, driving enterprise, pushing wealth creation and jobs.

📍 Frurt, London Road (near Tesco Express).

For decades, Gurdwara Patshahi Chhevin at Chungi Amar Sidhu in Lahore stood silent—its sangat displaced by Partition and its history nearly forgotten.

Connected to the sacred memory of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, this historic gurdwara is now being cleared and restored, offering hope that prayers may once again fill this cherished space.

Some places are more than buildings. They carry memories, faith, and prayers—and sometimes, they simply wait for someone to remember them.

Through Sikhlens Heritage Tours, we continue to visit, document, and reconnect with sacred places and stories across Pakistan.

Sometimes people ask me, "What’s the agenda for these meetups? What do we actually get out of it?"

To be totally honest, if you’re coming just to pitch, grab a quick discount, or make it a transaction, this probably isn't the community for you! 😉

We are here to build real kinship, trust, and unity within our Punjabi professional community. We want to get closer together, share knowledge, and collaborate on genuine projects. When we focus on building real relationships first, the business and support naturally follow.

Let’s keep building each other up—no hidden agendas required!

Looking forward to the up and coming dinners in London, Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester, Milton Keynes & Leeds by @singhatelier

🐉 “He who holds the Zum Zummah, that fire breathing dragon, holds the Punjab for the great green-bronze piece is always first of the conqueror’s loot.” - Kim, Rudyard Kipling.

Not quite the famed Zam Zamma of the Sikh Army but a close second. Spotted the Satluj Cannon today. To think that this same Cannon would have fought alongside the legendary warrior Baba Sham Singh Atariwala in the battle of Sabroan in the Satluj campaigns is just mind boggling.

Final Photo - shout out to a combination of the Anglo Sikh Heritage Trail and @sikh_scholar for their research and sign posting us to such treasures. Gurinder’s book has some fantastic references 🙏🏾 by @singhatelier
