Road season is over, but there is still a little bit of racing going on at Bill Armstrong Stadium on the black cinders. Last evening - short scratch races for @iusflittle500 rookies. 1) A couple of our athletes will be @indycycloplex the next few days competing in collegiate track nats. @milliganuniversity won’t be there, and @hayy_hayy111 surely wasn’t a trackie, but the love and honor continues to flow.
2) @charrell1724 did not clip his pedal here in turn one on The Hill. But he did get a load of good bike racing experience @gatewaycupstl

Day Four of the fortieth @gatewaycupstl and third year with the finale @florissantcity Yesterday on The Hill brought out 3/4 and 2/3 squads racing well but getting only one in the money (@ben.halbig12 in the 2/3 race - ask him to compare and contrast this year’s race with last year’s - his first ever!) Highlight of the day though was the thrilling win by a dear friend of the team, @eyebllz in the ACC finale! And yet another special friend from Lindenwood and Indy stopped by to say “hi” and ask “Where’s @ajay.baker “. Day Three @gatewaycupstl You’ll find the squad and @singleton_coaching in Turn One by @shawscoffee @thehillstlouis Yesterday in @friendsoffrancispark our 3/4 team soldiered on, the 2/3’s raced way better than the night before and placed two in the top-10 (@double_decker_david 5th, @ben.halbig12 9th), and @jake_zyromski just barely missed the winning move and improved to 33rd in his guest ride with Stellina Racing. Out in Vermont, @devin_hatch025 improved his GC spot 10 places. Bittersweet? Gut wrenching? Conflicted? Yesterday at Lafayette Square @gatewaycupstl was all those things and more. Getting through and making the pedals go ‘round and ‘round just like John & Paul said. The love and care was flowing and the team strived to make every pedal stroke count, just like Haylan did.

Cam & Jack raced well in the 3/4’s, with Cam finishing in the top third of a 75+ rider field. Our 2/3’s were active throughout the race, Zane was in the right break of the day which just barely got caught, and Carl sprinted to 8th. Jake in the P/1 race with Stellina Racing finished in the top half, with alum Maddox 6th with Chaney

A cool thing with these multi-day series is one can take the things experienced in the race the day before and apply them with learning and improvement the very next day. Here’s to Day Two in Francis Park, set up in Turn Four next to St. Gabriel’s , back in the shade of the trees by @singleton_coaching

There are no words right now…I certainly don’t have many. I’m devastated, my soul crushed.
I had the honor and privilege of coaching Haylan and watching him grow the past few years. I’m incredibly grateful for the time we had with him. He was truly a Special One. Everyone who ever knew him, everyone on the team, from every walk of life, all will say, “He always had a smile on his face,” and the best, most pure and joyful attitude.
Something for each of us to hold onto, cherish and strive to emulate as we move forward, one pedal stroke at a time and making each and every one of this pedal strokes count. Just like Haylan did. by @singleton_coaching

Three athletes from @icd_cycling, all SingletonCoaching athletes, completed the 7-race @midwest_cup season series on the Omnium podium: @therealbarretclink wins the Men Cat.3 with teammate @ben.halbig12 with a very strong finish second. In the Women’s Elite, @ajay.baker finished third for the series. Really enjoyed this series, and hope it continues and grows! Over the seven races, Ajay lined up for four of them and won three. Ben and Barret raced all seven, with two wins and one win, respectively. #hardworkworks #cyclingdevelopment #juniorcycling by @singleton_coaching
