POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Midwest Challenge marked the beginning of the 2022-23 cycling year for our lions. We had a great time even with the rain delays! A few outstanding athletes were:

Jack Bledsoe 5th in the matched sprint tournament

Staci McCudden 2nd in the points race

Johanna Gref 3rd in elimination

Dillion Geary winning the Madison with a non LU affiliated athlete.

Congrats to all the athletes for their hard work! A big shout out is deserved to all of our supporters, volunteers, and coaching staff. Go Lions!🦁

A little sprint tourney at MTV this morning. This crew did it right, riding down from Noblesville and then riding back. @emma_balding & @ajay.baker had decent/not their best flying 200’s, but both rode very well in their three match sprints. #doingwhatothersdont #doingwhatotherswont #hardworkworks #fulltiltboogie #gofastturnleft #juniorsmatter #juniorcycling #itsaprocess

While @mad_mikey_b was taking @ajay.baker to @tulsa_tough to take 2nd on Saturday & 1st on Sunday, her team was doing a coffee shop ride and talking about her 🤣🤣🤣

Doing what others don’t. Repetition is foundational to improvement and being the best that you can be. And doing time trials will help every bike racer be a better bike racer. Male & female course records set tonight. Two additional PR’s. And an outstanding 3-person TTT ride. #hardworkworks #juniorcycling #juniorsmatter #nationalsmonth

Special moments with special people who also happen to be special athletes aren’t always about special races and performances. #graduation #morethanbikes #specialpeople

Easter Saturday is traditionally the Marian Crit. With covid-cancellation for second year in a row, we trained instead. Like yesterday. And tomorrow. Next race will be @wwtraceway crit next Sunday. #hardworkworks #roadishere #juniorcycling #juniordevelopment #endurancetraining #endurancecoach

Spring Break doesn’t mean a break in the training...it’s just different. How different? Well, that depends. @emma_balding has worked hard with a constancy of purpose all winter. She had a great team camp and is ready to pin on a number and tie a start line. #hardworkworks #enduranceathletes #endurancecoach #juniorcycling #roadishere

Tour of St. Louis. @nine13sportscyclingteam pinned on numbers, toed start lines, worked hard and rode well. @lukemoster03 fastest for the team in the 11mi time trial that started at 25 deg. Fahrenheit. Frosty. @ajay.baker 3rd at Carondelet CRIT and 4th in the Cat. 3/4/5 Omnium. @sarahbanks4363 had her best race ever - by far - and so far, at Forest Park Crit (Ajay 6th and Sarah 11th in a field of over 50). @katie.dolen returned to Crit Racing too! #faceyourfears. @anson_sperry finished in top 15 each day in Crit fields that were maxed out and @griffin_rad raced well too. And our three new to the road junior boys @_the_speed_bump_ @bradenreitz @hay_nico_ were something to behold! Riding hard. Riding smart. Having big fun. Even team alumni Seth Worthington & @aroncycle raced with us in their Pro/1/2 and Cat. 3 fields. The foundation of any junior team is the group of parents, and ours are the best. Topping it all off, had a surprise visit from @machomomper too! What a weekend. #hardworkworks #roadcycling #juniorcycling #enduranceathlete #endurancecoach
