Just came home from a fire ceremony song circle- burning away what no longer serves and transmuting it into prayers, hopes, and dreams. I was so fueled by the energy that I recorded this spontaneously.

Ah, singing is such medicine for my heart.

This is a very, very special song. One that holds a sacred place in my soul.
Mama aya once sang it to me.
I used to sing it to the trees and the ocean, wandering through my favourite neighborhood.
A song from my future self.
A song for my inner child, and to every past version of me.

“No one to tell us no, or where to go, or say we’re only dreaming.”

I love you. by @sinyee_fish

一定是夕阳太浪漫，所以突然哼起这首歌。🌅

The most romantic thing I can imagine is growing old with you.

Just a lover girl with her romantic dreams and a forever romantic heart- no matter how many times it's been broken apart. 🤍 by @sinyee_fish

"What do you do for sports?" my massage therapist asked, while working on my ultra-tight neck and shoulder.

I laughed. "Not much. I hike a lot, but I guess that’s not related to my neck and shoulder."

She paused.

"Yours is one of the hardest shoulders I've worked on. The last person who had shoulders like yours was a professional baseball player."

-----

That conversation happened a few years ago.

I remember feeling puzzled. And underneath it, a deep sense of sadness.

It took me on a journey of exploring the relationship between my body, mind, emotions, soul, and psyche — through meditation, plant medicine, bodywork, and coaching.

Over time, I developed what feels like an inquiry, a way of listening to what my body is trying to tell me.

-----

In the last few days, I'd been feeling some tension around my neck, right shoulder, upper back, and arm.

So I listened. I sat with it, inquired into it, offered it loving kindness and massage.

Then, in a coaching session, I saw something more clearly: a deeper pattern underneath it all.

I met a protective part of myself — one that has tried his very best to keep me safe by managing, filtering, and controlling how another part of me felt, expressed herself, and was perceived.

We had a conversation. There was gratitude, appreciation, forgiveness... An inner reconciliation and reunion.

At the end of the session, I noticed something.
The tension was gone.
My neck and shoulders felt soft again.

What a beautiful reminder of something I've come to trust through my own journey: the tension and stress we carry in our bodies can be messengers.

Sometimes they're asking for attention and care.
And sometimes, they're pointing us toward a part of ourselves that wants to be heard, understood, reconciled, integrated back into relationship with the rest of us.

The body can be a gateway to the deeper aspects of our being.

This is part of the work I love — creating space to slow down, listen inward, and meet yourself at a deeper level.

I currently offer Rebalancing bodywork in Vancouver and 1:1 coaching over Zoom. If something in you is curious about this work, DM me. 💛 by @sinyee_fish

"Be the flower that you are." I woke up with this message this morning.

If you are a tree, be a tree.
If you are a sunflower, be a sunflower.
If you are an eagle, be an eagle.
If you are a butterfly, be a butterfly.
It's never about becoming more. Striving, pushing, proving, figuring out...
It's about letting go of what you are not, and returning to the essence of who and what you are.

Feeling so blessed and touched by the flow of love after a Rebalancing session.

Wishing you all the love in the world.

From my heart to yours 💞 by @sinyee_fish

Hiii friends! I am now offering Rebalancing Bodywork sessions at @casacopalyoga on Mondays. 🌿🌸

Casa Copal is a special place in my heart, where I experienced death and rebirth, and deepened my heart opening. We share a similar vision: "Come Home to Yourself". I feel honoured to be part of their community and to have the opportunity to share my passion for sacred touch at their beautiful Healing Sanctuary.

You can book a session with me on Casa Copal's website. 🦋 by @sinyee_fish

It was a scorching hot afternoon when we arrived at this beautiful lake. Filled with excitement and anticipation, I dipped my feet into the water and felt a shiver run through my body.

"Ooh... it's cold."

I kept walking toward the edge of the rock and sat down. By this point, the water was already covering half of my body.

A part of me was excited to go further, while another part was ready to turn around. "It's too cold", "it looks deep"...

I thought about something I'd recently learned in my coaching program: It's harder to be 99% than to be 100% all in.

"I'm going to test it out... now."

I placed a hand on my heart.

"To the part of me that's scared: I see you. I feel you. I know you want to turn around. It's okay to feel this way... and I love you."

I counted down from three.

Deep breaths. Let's... GO.

Then I went all in.

The water was cooling, refreshing, and enjoyable. Exhilarating joy and freedom flowed through me, and all I wanted to do was laugh.

Wheee.

I felt like a mermaid returning to the water.

-----

It's been an ongoing learning experience for me: it often takes far more energy to stand at the edge than to simply step in.

Going all in has never been easy, but more often than not, it's been far more rewarding than dipping my feet in or staying halfway.

May I always remember this moment.

And may I always have endless compassion for every version of me that's afraid, and all the time I need before I'm ready to dive in. by @sinyee_fish

In a recent Rebalancing session, I went on an intimate journey with a client and touched on something precious.

As I worked on her chest area, she described a fortress around her heart. Behind it was a little girl who didn't trust the outside world.

Through gentle touch and loving presence, we watched as the little girl began to venture beyond the fortress walls, exploring and playing in nature.

--------

It's so human to build walls around our hearts, especially after disappointment, grief, or hurt. It's natural to want to protect ourselves.

But when we try to shut out pain, we often end up shutting out joy, too.

I know what it's like to live inside my own fortress. It can feel safe there. Quiet. Peaceful. Predictable. Protected.

But if I'm honest, it also feels lonely.

And I know what it's like to step outside those walls.

To wander in nature. To sing to the trees and the ocean. To laugh so hard that I start tearing up. To love life so much that it feels like my heart would burst open.

It's expansive.

It's joyful.

It's vulnerable.

It's alive.

It's my heart wanting to shout, "WHEEEEEEEE!"

And I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Do you notice walls or armour around your own heart?

What might become possible if you let your walls soften?

If this speaks to you, chest sessions are one of my favourite ways to support the softening, opening, and remembering that can happen when the heart feels safe enough to emerge. ❤️ by @sinyee_fish

This is what work looked like two weekends ago- at a national park I used to hike to before.

We had a beautiful day immersed in the sounds of the stream, forest bathing, and plenty of Vitamin D ☀️

It was such a unique experience offering rebalancing sessions in nature. Thank you to @nerd4healing for organizing this beautiful gathering and inviting me to be part of it.

Sometimes I pause and marvel at where life has taken me. Neither the corporate version of me nor the 10-year-old me could have imagined that one day I'd be offering bodywork sessions in nature.

Life is full of surprises. My inner child is giggling with how much fun we get to have, and my heart and arms are open for more. ✨

Thank you, Mother Earth, for holding us. 🌿 by @sinyee_fish

"Ooh this looks fun!
I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know how to do it, I don't know if I can make it...

I'm scared...
But it looks fun and I want to try...

So let me try."

That's the monologue I had before I slid down the sand dune. The same monologue I have had many, many times in my life.

I imagine that's how I came to this beautiful and oftentimes heartbreaking planet.

This feels like my soul's essence- Curious. Playful. Fun-loving. Spontaneous.

Until the world taught me to be cautious.

For most of my life, I've been guarded. So afraid of falling, terrified of failures and mistakes... of being a fool.

And somehow... the risk of staying in the comfort zone and not giving it a try feels so much bigger than risking it all and being a fool.

A fool is free-spirited. Curious. Trusting. Courageous.
ALIVE.

So let me be a fool.
So let me try.
So let me fly.

Even if I stumble and fall, let me hold myself through my messy heartbreak...
... and stand up again.
... and laugh at my own fall.
And be willing to risk it all and try again. And again. And again.

Over the rainbow.

A song we practiced diligently for a choir competition when I was 16. A song that carried so much hope and longing for me. Back then, I was dreaming of growing up, leaving for somewhere "over the rainbow", somewhere far, far away from where I was... someday.

It remains one of my fondest high school memories- a valid excuse to skip class for choir rehearsal, a little pocket of joy tucked into days that often felt a little grey. Years later, I sometimes still dream of that 16-year-old me singing in the choir.

Today I saw a beautiful, full rainbow stretching across the lake and it brought all of that back, reminding me of this recording from a month ago.

I'm finally somewhere far, far away from where I was back then.
Not over the rainbow, but I'm happy to be here.

And ah, singing brings me so much joy.

---

P/S: Oops I can't believe I forgot one of the most important lines-

/ Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue.
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true /

Yes, they do. 🌈 by @sinyee_fish

I dreamed a dream.

This is probably the saddest song I've ever sung.

I’ve loved it from Les Misérables for years, and singing it in choir now made me realize how closely it mirrors what I lived through this year.

So grateful for how far I've come, and proud of how I moved through it all with every part of me, as sincerely as I could.

And grateful that I woke up from the dream I dreamed, and now I get to dream new dreams again. by @sinyee_fish
