What is happening in this country is appalling and it can really bring me down. It occurred to me last night as I was out enjoying music (my second love) and dancing (my third love), I am still free and I still have the energy and the desire to get dressed up and enjoy it, sing along with it and shake it, b/c frankly, I've never cared much about who was watching anyway. I decided that I'd do my best to make it a good night.
And you know what? The night was SO much fun! The Secret Light at The Coffin Club was soooo good! Then I headed over to Joe Yug 's Decadent '80s night at The Crystal Ballroom and it reminded me of all the best high school dances I ever attended. The kids in their 20s showed up and in full 80s gear, too! It made me giggle watching all the Jennifer Beals imitations to "Maniac." Then it was back to the Coffin Club to round out the evening with DJ Kyle Reese. He always brings it and the house was packed!
As I settled in for the night with my kitties 🐈‍⬛🖤🐈‍⬛ (my first love), I smiled b/c my heart was full.
Turn off the news, put down your phones, and go out and do what makes you happy while you still can.
Make every day a good day. 🖤 taken in The Coffin Club by @siouxsiequeenbee
