Meet the couple behind The Sipsy Schooner!

I’m Miranda, the owner and lead bartender at The Sipsy Schooner. The guy you often see busting his tail behind the scenes is my husband Brayden.

Brayden and I met in high school at the Oklahoma State Fair. Romance looks a little different when it smells like livestock and funnel cakes, but here we are!

People are often shocked to hear that we had a dry wedding, but we got married before we turned 21! So it wasn’t something we even had to think about. We did have subway sandwiches and a chocolate fountain instead! Very elegant, we know. 💁🏼‍♀️

People always assume The Sipsy Schooner was my idea, but it was actually all Brayden! I was feeling burnt out and uninspired. He saw a horse trailer bar on TikTok and told me he thought I would enjoy doing something like that. I brushed it off as another one of his wild hairs. Until a few weeks later he walked in from work and casually announced he bought a horse trailer at an online auction. He had not even seen it in person! 😆 That was the moment I realized this was happening whether I was ready or not.

We really believed The Sipsy Schooner would consist of the one trailer bar, but soon after we announced our plans our friends started asking for smaller setups. So we built The Wanderer. Then The Tumbleweed. Then The Belle. Then The Rose. At this point the bars are multiplying faster than we can name them!

We thought it would take us six months TOPS to renovate the trailer. That was cute of us! 😅 Between learning everything as we went, stopping to build the other bars, and paying cash as we saved, it actually took us eighteen months.

Our two daughters think this whole operation exists for them. They’re always first in line for a mocktail and order what they call “kid margaritas” with total confidence! Honestly, with two girls in dance this operation really is for them! 💸

Planning a wedding or party is stressful enough… your bar service shouldn’t be!

1️⃣ Inquiry – You tell us your date + vision.
2️⃣ Quote – We send a custom package that actually fits your event (no cookie cutter nonsense).
3️⃣ Contract + Deposit – A quick sign + retainer and boom… your date is locked in our calendar!
4️⃣ Event Questionnaire – A couple months before, we’ll check in to nail down cocktail choices + details.
5️⃣ Consultation + Optional Tasting – This is the fun part where we sip, tweak, and get you pumped for your big day!
6️⃣ The Big Day – We show up early, set up, keep the drinks flowing, and make sure you don’t have to lift a finger (except to raise a glass 🥂).

It really is that easy. No stress. No guesswork. Just great drinks, happy guests, and one less thing on your plate.

We are officially ONE MONTH out from turning Silver Barn Events into our own little cocktail laboratory for Costumes & Cocktails, and you’re invited!

You’ll get behind the bar with us to shake, smoke, pour, garnish, and create three Halloween cocktails yourself:
