What a powerful way to close out Black History Month this year. On February 28, 2026, at 11:47 AM, I crossed the burning sands into the wondrous band of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. This journey has been nothing short of incredible, filled with hard work, sacrifice, and true dedication.

I extend my deepest gratitude to our Chapter President, Bro. Sheddrick A. Williams, 1st Vice President and Dean of Pledges Bro. Torry Benjamin, 2nd Vice President Bro. E.J. Perry, and the BELOVED Brothers of Upsilon Iota Sigma Chapter. Special thanks to my mentors and coaches who guided and supported me every step of the way: Bro.Jeriel Rolle Jr., Bro. Robert E Leach, Bro. Ken Mrtootall Daniel, Bro. Eddie Enrico Johnson, and my Zeta Phi Beta Soror, Abeni Daniels. I love you DEEP!

Much love to my Primal Eight Line Brothers, The Alpha Line of Upsilon Iota Sigma Chapter. We will continue to march on, march on, until the journey is done and the victory is won.

Listen to your body! 🙌🏽
I wasn’t feeling 100% myself last week and initially thought I was just dehydrated. After going to the ER and undergoing several tests, the doctors discovered two pulmonary embolisms (blood clots) in my lungs.

I’m doing well and grateful that everything was caught early. As we get older, it’s important to listen to our bodies. What may seem like a small symptom could be a sign of something much more serious.

Don’t ignore the warning signs. Your health matters. Stay aware. Stay safe. Stay woke. taken in Piedmont Park by @sir_dmar

Last week, I had the honor of receiving two state awards at the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Student Affairs Summit. I am proud to share that I am the first recipient of both the 2025 TCSG College Student Impact Award and the 2025 TCSG Award for Excellence in Student Affairs.

Being recognized with two awards in the same year is truly humbling. These honors reflect the hard work, dedication, and intention I pour into supporting students, building leaders, and strengthening the student experience at Atlanta Technical College. I am grateful for the students who trust me, the colleagues who collaborate with me, and the mentors who continue to guide my growth.

Hard work truly pays off, but purposeful work leaves a legacy. As we move through this season of thanksgiving, I am reminded of why I show up every day: to invest in students and create environments where emerging leaders can thrive.

Thank you to TCSG and to everyone who believes in transforming lives!

I’m honored to be coordinating the Atlanta Technical College Annual Community Youth Summit on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Atlanta Tech main campus.

This year’s theme, “Community Over Competition: Redefining Success Through Unity,” focuses on empowering young Black men and men of color, ages 16 and up, by providing tools, strategies, and inspiration to help them succeed beyond the classroom.

I’m inviting my brothers, mentors, and community leaders to come out, support, and share with our young men as we work together to strengthen and uplift the next generation.

My colleague and dear friend, Ms. Sharron McIntyre, M.Ed. and I were honored to represent Atlanta Technical College at the 5th Annual Teaching, Learning, and Leadership Conference! 🎉 Our session, Troubling the Waters: Building Inclusive SkillsUSA Georgia Postsecondary Chapters from Recruitment to Competition, highlighted the importance of faculty engagement and student leadership. This year, my goal is to bring 100 ATC students to compete at the State Leadership & Skills Conference - and we’re just getting started! 💙💛❤️🤍 #skillsusagps #atcproud #studentlife @atltechcollege @17twinpower @skillsusagaps taken in Atlanta Technical College by @sir_dmar

Pride Month! 🫶🏾🏳️‍🌈🎉
This June, we joyfully celebrate the LGBTQ+ community - its vibrant culture, powerful history, and unstoppable spirit. Pride is a joyful reminder that being true to yourself is something to honor, protect, and uplift every single day.

While we face a record number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills this year, including over 900 targeting transgender rights across several states, the community continues to rise, resist, and thrive.

Pride is a celebration of authenticity, courage, and love in all its beautiful forms. Let’s honor it loudly and proudly.

#MyGodis🙏🏾
Yesterday, my sister stood with courage and love at what would have been my nephew’s high school graduation. He should have been walking across that stage, cap and gown on, full of dreams for the future. But his life was taken from us far too soon, in July 2023, due to senseless gun violence.

Though he wasn’t there in body, his spirit filled every corner of that ceremony. My sister showed incredible strength by being there, honoring his memory and the future he was supposed to have. We miss him deeply, and we will continue to speak his name, share his story, and fight for change.

Rest in peace, Treaz. You are forever loved and never forgotten. 💚💙🕊️ taken in Fort Pierce, Florida by @sir_dmar
