We came (to DC).
We learned (mahjong).
We conquered (advocacy).
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

But for real… I’m so proud of our state officers and how they represented @skillsusa and @skillsusaga while advocating for Career and Technical Education in our nation’s capital. ❤️

WLTI in D.C.‼️

WLTI was such an incredible experience getting to learn what it really means to advocate for Career and Technical Education and the opportunities it provides to students across the country. I had the opportunity to advocate for CTE and Perkins funding on Capitol Hill, share why these programs are so important, and use my voice to advocate for the opportunities that have made such an impact on me and so many other students.

I’m so thankful I got to experience this with Team 61 and meet SkillsUSA members from across the nation! From exploring D.C. to learning how we can make a difference through advocacy, this was an experience I’ll always be grateful for!
🇺🇸😊🎉

Where do I begin… such a bitter sweet moment🥹

I didn’t take home a medal at SKILLS USA Nationals, but I’m walking away with something much greater:

growth 🌿
perspective 🎯
purpose ‼️

Making it to this far into SKILLS USA was a win in itself. To compete among the best in the nation (real talent) , to be surrounded by vision, creativity, and passion, it was a true honor. The leadership training, the connections, and the energy walking in every room was unmatched. This was definitely an unforgettable experience. I’m also beyond grateful to celebrate my brother’s @ramesses_mmxx BIG GOLD victory in Pin Design🥇

To my family and friends that has supported me and encouraged me on this journey, thank you!

To my coach, advisors, and college administrators, thank you.

This is just the beginning… 🫶🏾🔥😊

🎨💻 Funny how things work out… I said nope to Pin Design at first (my event was full), but shoutout to my advisor @sir_dmar for pushing me anyway 😂

Fast forward💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 I won Gold at State 🥇 and now I’m repping Atlanta Tech and Georgia at Nationals! 🇺🇸

Here’s the animated version of my enamel pin design. Wild what a “backup plan” can do!
