erc’26 . . . (here’s to the longer version 🥹) at the beginning of the year, if you had told me that the members of erc would become some of my closest friends, i wouldn’t have believed you. i never would’ve imagined that a group so small could leave such a huge mark on my life in just one year. somewhere between all the wednesday night meetings, random phone calls, workshops, conferences, and countless conversations, you all became so much more than people i served alongside. you became people i know i’ll carry with me long after this year ends. i came into this role expecting leadership experience, but i’m leaving with friendships that i know will last so much longer than a title ever could. that is something i will never stop being grateful for. max, thank you for always knowing exactly what to say. whether i was calling you over something important, something completely random, or trying to plan that nyc trip, you somehow always picked up. thank you for always making time for me and for being someone i knew i could rely on. you were also literally the first person to commit to college, which somehow felt very on brand for you because you’re always one step ahead of everyone else. you’re seriously super smart lowk, and it’s been so cool getting to see how naturally everything comes to you. your kindness never goes unnoticed, and i hope you know how appreciated you are. i’m really going to miss all of our conversations because you’ve been one of those people who somehow makes everything feel a little less stressful. jw, thank you for teaching me soooo much about media. i don’t think i ever said it enough, but knowing you were always there gave me so much confidence when i decided to run for md reporter historian. thank you for always believing in me, always having my back, and somehow managing to be the most sunshine-y and bubbly person i know. one of my favorite things has been watching our conversations go from thirty minute phone calls to somehow never ending before two hours. i don’t think i’ll ever understand how we always had something new to talk about, but i’m so glad we did. your kindness, your enthusiasm, and the way you make everyone around you by @siri.fbla

nlc’26 . . . missing tags: @fbla.kaitlyn, @jaya_fbla, @aryanrohirafbla, @amy.scfbla, @bhavini.fbla, @mishkas_18, @fbla_fatimaijaz, @katelynnnguyyen, @fbla.akshay.nangia, @howard_fbla even though i promised sooo many people there would be no more sappy posts… unfortunately, i couldn’t keep that promise. fbla, i can’t begin to describe the impact you’ve had on my high school journey. a few years ago i started an fbla chapter at my school without realizing it would completely change my life. somewhere between the conferences, late-night conversations, and endless pictures, fbla became so much more than an organization. it became home. while this isn’t the end of my fbla journey, it is the end of my nlc journey. i don’t think i was ready to say goodbye. i don’t think i’ve ever cried harder leaving a conference. i never understood the “post-nlc depression” until now. some goodbyes hit harder when you realize you’ll never get this chapter back. to the seniors, thank you. i am so unbelievably proud of each and every one of you. thank you for showing us what leadership truly looks like. to my chapter, thank you for surviving my “one more picture.” to my annual pizza crew, thanks for always saying yes to one more pizza run. charis, thank you for letting me be your gordon ramsay all week. serving as your campaign manager was truly an honor. and to team 75, i am so proud of all of you. watching your fbla journeys has been so heartwarming, and i can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish. thank you to @projectpulmonary, @mdfbla, and @easternregionfbla for giving me the opportunity to walk across the national stage. more than anything, thank you to everyone i met along the way. you reminded me that fbla was never just about competitions. it was always about the people. truly, this was the opportunity of a lifetime. thank you, fbla. 💙 by @siri.fbla

slc’26 🩵 . . . maryland fbla, one year ago i was selected to serve as your central region vp and somehow that year flew by faster than i expected. if you told my freshman self i’d be standing on the slc stage, i wouldn’t have believed you. this role gave me everything i wanted and more, and i have so many people to thank. to my state officer team—doris, karolina, charis, jess, laya, zoya, cam, and annchi—thank you for being my go-to people. you made the long days, stressful moments, and everything in between worth it. i’ll always be grateful for the memories we made. ms. connor, mr. tolbert, and the md state board, thank you for your constant support and everything you pour into this organization. ms. connor, especially, thank you for stepping up as my region director. i truly don’t know what i would have done without your guidance. i’ll miss our impromptu google meets. pari, if it weren’t for you i don’t think i would’ve taken these steps in my fbla journey. thank you for coming all the way to support me and our state—even if you slept through half the conference😂 to the new state officers, i hope you find the same second family i did. cherish every moment, even the chaotic ones—they’re the ones you’ll miss most. there’s nothing else like this experience. howard fbla and mr. latham, thank you for supporting me every step of the way. you were my starting point and the reason i got here. i appreciate you more than you know. to my assistant, ursula, thank you for always being there. watching you walk across that stage meant so much to me—I was in awe of everything you’ve accomplished. can’t wait for nationals with you. lastly, to the maryland fbla members, thank you. meeting so many of you at slc, hearing your stories, and seeing your effort reminded me why i love this organization so much. this is not the end, just the end of this chapter. signing off, your 25-26 central region vp 📸@rileychalpin by @siri.fbla
