What an eventful stretch.

Savannah was rich — serving as a Quarterfinalist and Guest Clinician for the 2026 American Traditions Competition (ATC), and connecting with (my fav) @iammeloniedaniels (first time adjudicating). Such a beautiful community that’s been gathering for 30+ years — honoring tradition while shaping the next generation of artists at varying levels of experience and refinement.

Then Houston — the Black History Concert Series at @wheeleravenuebc — offering “Misty” with JMFS. Ironically, it was slated to be part of my ATC finals presentation.

Timing is everything. Purpose is constant.

Until next time, ATC.

Next stop: VA — grab your tickets now. by @sirthomasallen

From a Voice to a Method.

I have navigated opera, jazz, and gospel at the highest levels as a performer, including historic firsts. The AndroVox Method is my personal artistic philosophy, codified through lived experience and scholarly research. This work also places me among the first Black men to formalize a contemporary vocal methodology of its kind.

The Lab helps singers understand that they can sing across genres when functionality comes first. And yes, we break the rules, while still prioritizing vocal health.

🔊 Thank you, Cleveland, for showing love!

Now I can call @bopstoptms another jazz home when I’m in the Midwest. Hearing you sing my tune “Remember” had me in tears. Seeing people love your music is such a warm feeling.

A special thank-you to the hospitality and sound teams, my Chitown cats, and to @bryan.kennard.music for making the connection.

Until next time, keep it swinging! 🎶❤️

A special shout-out to Edinburgh International Festival Director @nickybenedettiofficial for her incredible vision and leadership! 👏🏾✨

When @wyntonmarsalis tells you, “Do your thing,” it means more than just do your thing. It’s an affirmation. It says that what you bring—your sound, your instincts, your musical identity—is adding something meaningful to the experience of the music.

Working with Wynton this weekend reminded me of the power of being trusted to simply be yourself inside the music. There’s a freedom that comes when one of the greats gives you the space to bring all of who you are to the moment.

And when he says, “Do your thing…” you do your thing.

Grateful for the music, the trust, and the experience of All Rise at the Edinburgh International Festival — 2026!
