Happy International Day of the Girl Child!

“End child marriage and invest in girls’ rights.”

Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:

وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ
“Indeed, We have dignified the children of Adam…”
— Surah Al-Isra, 17:70)

This reminder of human dignity inspires us to honour, protect and nurture every girl. She deserves a childhood filled with love, safety, learning and possibility and the opportunity to shape her own future.

At Sisters in Imaan, we stand for girls’ dignity, rights and empowerment. Let us work together to end child marriage, keep girls in school, support their wellbeing and open doors to skills, leadership and economic opportunity.

To every girl: You are valued. Your voice matters. Your dreams deserve room to grow.

May Allah protect our daughters, bless them with beneficial knowledge and grant them bright, fulfilling futures. Ameen.

Protect her childhood. Honour her rights. Empower her future.

My sincere appreciation to the organisers of the International Festival of Youth (IFY) 2026 @wyffest for this Certificate of Participation and for bringing together 10,000 young leaders from 191 countries in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

I was honoured to represent Tanzania and contribute my perspective as a leader committed to women’s empowerment, youth inclusion, and community development.

Among the most meaningful aspects of this experience were the connections I built, the conversations we shared, and the opportunity to learn from people whose cultures and experiences differed from my own. Meeting fellow young leaders reminded me how much we can learn from one another and how those relationships can open doors to future collaboration.

The festival broadened my perspective on leadership and international cooperation. It also strengthened my belief that young people must have opportunities to contribute to the decisions shaping their communities and the world.

For me, this certificate represents a memorable chapter of learning, friendship, and growth. It carries a responsibility to bring those lessons home and apply them through the work I do and the communities I serve.

Thank you to the organisers, volunteers, and fellow delegates for making this experience so valuable. I look forward to nurturing these connections and exploring opportunities to create meaningful impact together.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY!
Self-love is more than looking in the mirror and appreciating what you see. It is knowing your worth, protecting your peace, respecting your boundaries and choosing not to lose yourself while trying to make everyone else happy.

❤️ LOVE YOURSELF WITHOUT LOSING YOURSELF.

You do not need to prove your worth by overgiving, overexplaining, or constantly seeking validation. You deserve to treat yourself with the same patience, kindness and understanding you freely give to others.

🤍 LOWER UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS, NOT YOUR STANDARDS.

Not everyone will love the way you love, understand your feelings, or meet every expectation you have. Learn to communicate your needs, accept people for who they are and release the need to control every outcome. Sometimes, peace begins when we stop expecting others to behave exactly as we would.

💔 WHEN LOVE BECOMES A CONSTANT BATTLE…

Disagreements are normal in relationships, but constant arguments, disrespect, emotional exhaustion and unresolved conflict can affect your mental well-being. A healthy relationship is not one without problems; it is one where both people are willing to listen, communicate honestly, take responsibility and work towards solutions without hurting each other.

Ask yourself: Is this relationship helping me grow or is it slowly taking away my peace?

Love should not require you to abandon your identity, silence your feelings, or live in constant fear of the next argument. Setting boundaries is not cruelty and choosing your well-being is not selfishness.

🌿 A gentle reminder from EVOXA Mental Wellness Initiative:

You cannot control everyone’s actions, every situation, or every outcome. But you can learn to care for yourself, establish healthy boundaries, communicateyour needs and
seek support when you need it.

Happy World Mental Health Day from Sisters in Imaan!

“Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.”

Allah reminds us:

أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ

“Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.” — Surah Ar-Ra‘d, 13:28

Behind every smile is a story, and behind every story is a heart that deserves compassion. Let us listen without judgment, check in on one another, and create spaces where women feel safe to share their struggles.

Find comfort in du‘a and remembrance of Allah, give yourself permission to rest, and reach out for support when you need it. Seeking help does not diminish your faith.

Your voice matters. Your feelings are valid. You do not have to carry everything alone.

May Allah ease every burden, grant peace to every troubled heart, and make us a source of comfort for one another. Ameen.

As the CEO and Founder of EVOXA Mental Wellness Initiative and a member of Sisters in Imaan, I was honoured to engage with the important discussions particularly the panel concerning“The Digital Architecture of the Future: Co-Designing Technological Sovereignty for Russia and Africa.”

The discussion highlighted critical issues shaping our digital future, including data sovereignty, data protection, digital governance, technological independence and Africa’s role in shaping its own digital ecosystem.

For Africa, digital transformation must go beyond adopting technologies developed elsewhere. It must also involve building local capacity, protecting citizens’ data, strengthening digital infrastructure and ensuring that African countries have a meaningful voice in how technology is developed, governed and used.

As someone working at the intersection of AI, digital health and mental wellness, I believe data is not just a technological resource it is a matter of trust, ownership, security and empowerment.

The future we build must be innovative, secure, inclusive and shaped by the people it serves.

Africa should not only participate in the digital future; we should help design it.

As the CEO and Founder of EVOXA Mental Wellness Initiative and a member of Sisters in Imaan, I am honoured to have been invited to participate in the session “Digital Transformation at the Forefront of Global Healthcare System Development: From Treating Diseases to Preventing Them” at the Global Digital Forum 2026 in Moscow, Russia. 🇷🇺🌍

I look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions on how artificial intelligence, big data, telemedicine and wearable technologies can transform healthcare through prevention, early detection and accessible people-centred solutions.

I am particularly interested in exploring how digital innovation can strengthen healthcare systems across Africa and advance more inclusive approaches to mental wellness and preventive healthcare.

Innovation is most meaningful when it transforms lives, strengthens communities and makes quality healthcare more accessible to all.

I am honoured to share that I have been selected as a Wellbeing Champion for the COMMONWEALTH YOUTH COUNCIL.

This opportunity brings together young people across the Commonwealth who are committed to creating safe spaces for honest conversations about mental health and wellbeing in our communities.

As a Wellbeing Champion, I will be supporting the campaign through four simple but powerful actions:

ASK. LISTEN. CONNECT. ACT.

I am especially excited to contribute from Tanzania and use this opportunity to strengthen conversations around youth mental health, reduce stigma and encourage young people to feel heard, supported and valued.

This role aligns deeply with my work through EVOXA Mental Wellness Initiative and I look forward to connecting, learning and contributing to a wider Commonwealth movement for youth wellbeing.

Sometimes, the most important conversation starts with a simple question: Are You Okay? 💚
