Two days. One island. Not another hiker in sight.

The Camino Gran Canaria is done.

But I had a few more yellow arrows to follow.

Next stop: Portugal. 🇵🇹🥾

Sometimes you just have to go.

Day one of the Camino de Santiago de Gran Canaria.

Once I left town, I didn’t see another person on the trail all day. Not one. It wasn’t exactly the middle of nowhere. There was usually a road or a small village somewhere nearby. But on the trail itself, it was just me.

I came to Gran Canaria to hike this Camino. Why this one? Why by myself? I’m still not entirely sure.

I think there was a reason I needed to do this that goes beyond just going for a walk.

Maybe you don’t always need to know what you’re looking for before you go looking for it.

I guess I’ll find out.

Part 1 of 2.

@caminotellers thanks for the great videos for inspiration!

It’s been a busy summer. It’s been a tragic summer.

It’s time to do something silly and go for a walk. Follow along!

@roamnaround really set me up AGAIN for another adventure.
