🎲 Before @officialianjap 's Poetry In The House (PITH) event in May 2025, there was this in July 2024 - and before this, there were others, more or less ✨️

In July 2024, for one night, the I Am Not Just Another Poet (IANJAP) Community came together for a fun night away with poetry. This night-long event featured an exciting poetry session, laced with acoustic music and audience freestyles, followed by all kinds of games and activities, food, drinks, socialising, and a podcast recording attempt (wasn't successful due to a technical challenge with the audio).

This was like a free beta for IANJAP's PITH 2025, and it'll always have a special place in our hearts.

Though the 3 bedroom apartment ended up being too small because more people showed up than anticipated, the memories made were bigger than we could've imagined ❤️.

This night at IANJAP's Campus Poetry Hotspot (CPH) session on the University of Ghana Campus reminded me of why Poets Are My Favourite People.

The poems really connected with me, and it wasn't because this was my second time attending after a long while away. These poets brought it - and I was so mesmerized I forgot to present something myself.

So far as lies in my power, @officialianjap 's Campus Poetry Hotspot (CPH) sessions on UG will always be - made bigger and better for generations of students to come. Then replicated across campuses in the country. This is my passion project.

1st August, 2026: I attended this session after a long break and felt right at home ❤️ | Watch till the end.

Also, tell me what you think in the comments - Does life get easier, or do we get stronger?

This one is for everyone who ever made their own toys as a kid | 'The Makings Of A Kite' as performed at OUATIA, 2025.

Ps. Anytime and anywhere I present this amazing poem, I think of Rachel, my then girlfriend at the time of its writing. I think of how she pushed me to rewrite its earlier versions until I arrived at this polished one - that people seem to love so much - and I credit it to her. Rach, this one is most especially for you 💐 .
