In her latest work, an aluminum print poetically titled “for a moment, I forgot about the existence of
the sky” (2026). It is part of a series Gobbi has been creating for some time by scanning grass and soil with
a handheld scanner, resulting in a fragmented piece of ground being depicted rather than a single, specific
plant.

La nuova stagione di Red Lab Gallery Milano riparte con la prima mostra personale in galleria di 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶, un’artista e musicista sperimentale italiana.

Attraverso opere di nuova produzione in forma di scultura, performance e suono, la mostra si concentra sull’esplorare la relazione tra corpo e ambiente.
La performance dell’artista dal titolo “She was a rose, and lived as roses do” coinvolgerà una serie di lavori che verranno indossati o utilizzati.

La mostra prende forma da una ricerca avviata dall’artista presso @villa_filanda_antonini .

We built a soundproof room inside artist Caterina Gobbi’s studio: a space conceived for unrestrained sonic experimentation.

The aesthetic language favored OSB as the guiding material — more than any other, it evokes the sense of a temporary construction, suspended within a place in constant flux and transformation.

The acoustic treatment was engineered to ensure an optimal listening experience within the space, while the ventilation system was designed to preserve the room’s soundproofing without compromise.

The electrical system was handled by Giacomo Branchetti @gbranchetti
