Mass Comm professor Greg Lee is bringing sports journalism students into the press box this summer. He’s leading 16 students through The Sports Journalism Institute at Arizona State. Their first assignment: covering the Phoenix Mercury vs. the Minnesota Lynx. Students completed a boot camp this week to get ready for their next assignment: working in newsrooms across the country. A special congrats to Loyola grad Samantha Guillotte, who will be at the Florida Times-Union.
The SJI began as a vision to open doors for students to add their voices to sports coverage in their local media outlets and bring new perspectives to the stories being told. by @sji_update

Today, we celebrate 30 years of the Class of 1996
The Class of ’96 holds a unique place in SJI history as the only class without an official group photo because it was the only class that did not publish an APSE Bulletin.
