After an incredible career spanning over 40 years in education, including 13 wonderful years at St Joseph’s, yesterday saw us bid farewell to Mr Peter Zammit as he heads into retirement. 🥳

In a nod to his much-loved Magpies, St Joseph’s became one big black and white army before heading into a special assembly where staff and students shared kind words, fond memories.

His departure will certainly be felt, particularly by the many students who have been lucky enough to learn from, laugh with and be nurtured by Mr Zammit over the years. His kindness, humour and genuine care have left a lasting mark on our St Joseph’s community.

Thank you for everything, Mr Zammit! We’ll miss you. 🖤🤍 by @sjnorthcote

Last week, we officially launched Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)! After weeks of clues, mystery words and plenty of wondering, our students came together to celebrate the reveal of our three PBL expectations:
💙WE ARE BRAVE
💛 WE ARE SAFE
💙 WE ARE RESPECTFUL

PBL gives us a shared language to teach, recognise and celebrate the positive behaviours that help make St Joseph’s Northcote a safe, respectful and welcoming place for everyone to learn and belong.

Our Dance & Bubble Party was the first of what we hope will be many whole-school celebrations, recognising the excellent behaviour and positive culture our students and staff contribute to every day.

Swipe through to see some pics of the joy in action! 💃🫧 by @sjnorthcote
