Choices by Messermoon - FINALLY.

Over a year ago, I asked @luciddream_bindings to use her beautiful typeset, immediately printed it, got it into a textblock state of existence, and then proceeded to move it across my desk, in and out of cupboards, in and out of drawers, and used it to weigh down many other binds.

I knew EXACTLY what I wanted for this, and it was nothing that I was coming up with. And then I read The Song of Achilles and my brain went “this is it, this is the vibe!” And here we are.

The end pages feature the original lines from The Iliad, describing the death of Patroclus, the death of Hector, Achilles’s grief, and Achilles’s death.

Manacled by @senlinyuwrites - my very own single volume!

The cover and typeset feature Nike, the Goddess of Victory. I redid my original “She fought.” typeset with a darker, gothic style and I’m obsessed. The three parts are still “The Fighter,” “The Healer,” and “The Victor.”

I’ve managed to gift away every Manacled bind I’ve ever made, but this one will permanently be on my shelf. I’m super happy with how this turned out. Recreating fabric folds originally carved in marble, with HTV, was something else - but I think it was worth it.

“In Every Lifetime” - a 36X48” art collaboration with @mimsbindery

There’s a one-shot by Soap1 called “25,000 Love Stories,” in which Draco and Hermione set out to make a new time turner out of an hour glass, but instead of traveling through time, they end up traveling through the Dramione multiverse and seeing themselves in scenes from other fics, which kickstarts the rest of the plot. Highly recommend. Go read it.

As I was thinking of what to do with the giant blank wall across from where my bookshelves are going to go, this fic came back to me, but what if it was art instead? So I printed out my favorite scenes from some favorite fics from my favorite typesets, and I messaged @mimsbindery with a crazy idea, and filmed a bunch of timelapses. And here we are. I am so pleased with how this turned out, I can’t wait to get it on the wall once it’s safely framed behind UV-protection glass.

Help, I can't believe I've had this book in my hands FOR WEEKS, and I haven't shared how absolutely gorgeous it is.

The physical book is the copy I bought myself from Barnes & Noble in 7th grade. It's moved with me to three different states. Sat on many a bookshelf. The cover was a disaster and it deserved a revamp. It's now something to be cherished, and passed down, and I can't get over how incredible it is.

Phew. I'm emotional over a book. Sounds right.

Lionheart by greenTeacup - I think my reader heart feels the loss of this fic more than any other.

Lionheart was a BRILLIANT reimagining of the Hogwarts years, from Draco’s POV, as though he had been sorted into Gryffindor. Different politics, a full ensemble cast, new plot points, but the familiarity of the world. It was absolutely brilliant.

Scrolling back to January and then screaming to myself “Oh my god!! I forgot I made that!” 100x while looking at all of my binds from the year, is my new favorite sport!

2025 brought so much creativity and fun, cheers to 2026 bringing even more!
✨2025 was the year Sam Learned HTV™️ and I completely forgot that that was the case? From a ROUGH first HTV application on the Quicksilver rebind in January, to the art highlights vibe that started in July with Blood and Gold and all those swirls?!? That’s six months of progression - it happens faster than you expect!
✨I got to meet more book friends in person for the first (of many more to come) times!
✨I got to see @senlinyuwrites speak not once, but twice, AND was able to get my Manacled signed (please bury it with me)
✨I learned to make paperbacks - again, just this year?!?!
