POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
When your child has cancer, sometimes you just need someone who gets it.

Each member of our Family Support Team knows what itโ€™s like to care for a child with neuroblastoma. They understand the uncertainty, the questions, and the challenges families can face.

Because no family should face childhood cancer alone.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we'll be sharing the stories and voices of families, and showing how their experiences have helped shape the support we provide today.

Join us throughout September as we shine a light on the realities of childhood cancer and the power of support.

โ€œFamilies like ours cannot live a life under the dark cloud of childhood cancer without knowing our childโ€™s experience was not in vain. We feel strongly that good has to come from our experiences. We want to be heard and seen, and to know that we can help make a difference. It gives us hope when, for some of us, hope was taken away by cancer.โ€- Lisa Radcliffe, mum to George, who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma aged 3

Alfred loved tending his vegetable garden. He dreamed of becoming a farmer one day. But at just four years old, he was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma.

Despite everything that followed, Alfred found joy in playing hide and seek, trips out with his family, and potting plants in his beloved garden. ๐Ÿ’›

From the earliest days of Alfredโ€™s diagnosis, our Family Support Team were there to provide practical guidance and emotional support to his family.

When Alfred relapsed in early 2025, we were there to support his family through the emotional weight of that news and the difficult decisions that followed.

Devastatingly, Alfred passed away in August 2025. But our support didn't stop. We stood beside his family through their grief, helping them navigate the unimaginable pain of losing their little boy.

Our support doesnโ€™t end when a familyโ€™s world falls apart. Thatโ€™s often when it matters most.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, your donation could help us be there for another family when they need us most (๐Ÿ”—tap our bio link).

When Beatrice was diagnosed with low-risk neuroblastoma at just 10 months old, her family suddenly found themselves navigating a new and uncertain world.

Soon after, they contacted Solving Kidsโ€™ Cancer UK and found a community of people who understood what they were going through.

From meeting other families at our Neuroblastoma Parent Symposium to staying connected with our Family Support Team and joining us at our Family Fun Day, that support has continued throughout their journey.

As Beatriceโ€™s parents told us:

โ€œConnecting with the other families in similar situations to us definitely gave us a sense of belonging in this nasty neuroblastoma world.โ€

Now two and a half, Beatrice has scans every three months, and her most recent results showed that her neuroblastoma remains stable.

For Beatriceโ€™s family, and families like hers, having someone there who understands can make a real difference.

When a child is diagnosed with neuroblastoma, life can change in an instant.

Last year, our Family Support Team provided ongoing one-to-one support to 230 families affected by neuroblastoma.

Every member of our Family Support Team has experience of caring for a child with neuroblastoma, so they understand the realities families are facing.

From treatment information and practical help to emotional support and simply having someone to turn to, we're here throughout the journey.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we're shining a light on the support families need.

No family should face childhood cancer alone. ๐Ÿ’™

This month is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Here at Boogie Beat we have been helping children to feel less alone.

Imagine being a child and having to spend time in hospital or isolate at home before starting cancer treatment.

Days can feel long. You may miss your friends, your school, your usual activities and simply being able to play and have fun.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re incredibly proud to have created a special ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฒ ๐—•๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐— ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฐ & ๐— ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ผ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฏ๐˜† ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐—น๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ž๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐˜€โ€™ ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—จ๐—ž. ๐ŸŽถ

Because sometimes, something as simple as a song, a story and a chance to dance can bring a little bit of joy to a difficult day. ๐Ÿ’›

Weโ€™re also fundraising to support the amazing work of Solving Kidsโ€™ Cancer UK.

On Wednesday, we were honoured to stand alongside colleagues from @josephssmileuk, @latchwales and @younglivesvscancer at the Kids Get Cancer Too Senedd reception, raising awareness of the impact childhood cancer has on families across Wales.

We highlighted the vital importance of research and why the upcoming Cancer Strategy for Wales must include dedicated commitments for children and young people.

This means investing in research and innovation, recognising that childhood and young peopleโ€™s cancers are unique, and ensuring families across Wales have fair access to the latest opportunities in care and treatment.

Every child and young person with cancer deserves to benefit from progress in research and innovation โ€“ wherever they live in Wales. ๐Ÿ’› by @skc365
