Started our day with Master reminding us that a yogi should always speak sweet words , followed by the main event… NAULI KRIYA! 🔥

Master demonstrated step by step, and I actually managed to do it partially, so I’m counting that as a WIN! After a few rounds, we were all so hungry that we went straight into eating mode!

We learned about our traditional yoga lineage, and the correct methods of Kriya 1 and Kriya 2. Truly an eye opening session! We ended our lessons with Surya Bhedana, Chandra Bhedana and Dirga Pranayama before our much-awaited presentations, and everyone absolutely nailed it! 👏🏻

Then came the BIGGEST PLOT TWIST… ONE WEEK OF VEGETARIANISM! My heart stopped for a second when Master said vegetarian! To make sure we didn’t conveniently forget, Master tied a sacred thread on our wrists as a reminder. Basically, a spiritual food restriction bracelet!

With our hearts still mourning the loss of chicken for seven days, we celebrated our yoga mate’s birthday and ended the day happily!

How can we relate shatriyan to our real-life situations?

When we choose a spiritual path, it comes with its own challenges. It starts with our own family and relatives asking, “Aprom yoga join panitiya? Samiyar aaga poriya?”

Then comes the challenge of balancing our career, attending meetings, meeting deadlines, and for some of us, even pursuing the childhood dreams we have always held close to our hearts.

And then comes our own alaksya (laziness). Our mind starts negotiating with us, “It's okay, take a day off. Your body needs rest.” Sometimes, we genuinely need rest, but other times, it's our mind trying to pull us away from our practice.

Amidst all these challenges, we need to keep going with relentless effort and become warriors on our spiritual path. 💪🏻

This week, we revisited our Veerabhadrasana series, with more focus on Utkatasana. Often misunderstood as just a chair pose, Utkatasana teaches us fierceness, intensity, perseverance and relentlessness. These are the qualities a warrior needs before stepping into battle. And in our spiritual journey, the battle often begins within ourselves.

Physically, these three asanas challenge our quadriceps muscles. Strong quadriceps help build stability and strength in our legs, creating a stronger foundation for our practice.

By the end of the session, everyone could feel the intensity in their quadriceps🔥 That muscular engagement can be a useful sign that we are challenging the right areas. One way to know we are working the right muscles is by feeling the intensity in our quadriceps. 🔥

The real warrior is not the one who never struggles, but the one who continues to show up despite the struggles.

Thank you, Master, for every teaching and correction that helps us grow stronger, not just in our asanas, but also as warriors on our spiritual path. 🙏🏻🤍

Yesterday’s class was an absolute power-packed session!🔥

If I had to put it in Vadivelu style: "Moone moonu asana-tan thooki poddaru, but TOTAL DAMAGE!” 😂

The whole session revolved around Utkatasana and the Veerabhadrasana 1–2 transition.

Utkat means fierce, powerful, relentless, and full of perseverance. A warrior needs to carry these qualities before entering the battlefield. Fierceness. Fearlessness. Determination. Perseverance. Only then can they conquer the field.

And guess what? Life is no different.

Whatever we choose to pursue, we need to show up with the same fierce and fearless attitude. Because dreams don’t come with an “easy mode” button! We have to stay determined, keep pushing, and face every challenge head-on.

Still thinking, “How much intense these THREE asanas possibly do?” Come join our Ashtanga class and find out for yourself! You’ll feel the vibe… and probably discover muscles you never knew existed. 🤣🔥

Thank you, Master, for another intense session that pushed us beyond our comfort zones and gave us a chance to discover a little more about ourselves.

Three asanas.
One killer session.
And only one person can do this and the name is Master SKD!

Some sacred moments cannot be described in words…
They can only be felt deep within the heart. ❤️🙏🏼

The Prana Prathistha of the Shiva Lingam at Sakthi Yoga Shri Lahiri Mahasaya Shala, Kulai, was one such profound and divine experience. 🕉️✨

It was a true blessing to witness my beloved Guru, @skdurai perform this sacred traditional ceremony with such deep devotion, humility, and complete surrender. 🙏🏼🪷

As the prayers, sacred chants, abhishekam, and offerings unfolded, I felt as though the entire atmosphere was transforming.

A deep stillness…
An indescribable divine vibration…
A sacred energy that quietened the mind…
A divine presence that filled the heart with devotion. ❤️🙏🏼

In that sacred moment, beyond the outer rituals, I could deeply feel the divine presence of the Shiva Lingam, the grace of my Guru, and the blessings of all the Gurus.

It felt as though the entire space was being filled with divine grace becoming a sacred place where the outer rituals and the inner spiritual experience came together.

The mind became still.
The heart became filled with devotion.
And for a few precious moments, I felt completely immersed in that divine presence. 🪷

Whenever I visit this sacred place, I feel the presence and spiritual energy of my Guru, SK DURAI Master. 🪷🙇🏻‍♀️

The atmosphere brings peace to the mind, devotion to the heart, and a deep sense of reconnecting with the grace of the Guru. 🙏🏼❤️

This sacred Prana Prathistha reminded me that the spiritual path is not something we walk through the mind alone. It is received through devotion, faith, surrender, and the Guru’s grace.

Thank you, my beloved Guru @skdurai master for your divine guidance, for your grace, and for giving us the opportunity to witness and experience such a sacred moment. I am deeply grateful for your presence, your teachings, and everything you continue to do for us. 🙏🏼❤️🪷

May the divine presence of Guru Shri Lahiri Mahasaya forever bless this sacred place with grace.

May the blessings of all the Gurus guide and bless every soul who comes here.

Forever grateful.
Forever devoted.
Forever surrendered. by @skdurai

Week 9 : Started the morning with Nauli Kriya learning to work deeper with the body. 🌿

An abdominal churning practice that builds on the foundation of Uddiyana Bandha.

The Lineage & Philosophy 🪷

We explored the roots of modern yoga through the Mysore tradition and its Parampara, beginning with T. Krishnamacharya, known as the “Father of Modern Yoga,” and his influential disciples B.K.S. Iyengar, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, T.K.V. Desikachar and Indra Devi who each carried and developed the teachings in their own way. We also touched on Shat Darshana, the six traditional schools of Indian philosophy, including Yoga and Vedanta.

A beautiful reminder that yoga is not simply a physical practice, but a living tradition of knowledge and wisdom passed from teacher to student, generation to generation. 🤍🪷

Group 1 brought breakfast for everyone this week, and honestly, seeing everyone happily enjoying the food made me so happy. ❤️

It’s the little moments like these that make our batch memories so special. 🪷✨

Explored Kriya practices, Dirga Pranayama, Chandra Bhedana and Surya Bhedana. 🌬️

This week reminded me that breath is not just about breathing it can become a doorway to concentration, awareness and inner stillness.

The deeper I learn, the more I realise how much there is still to learn.

Master preparing us for the week ahead, guiding us on food intake and discipline as we prepare for the next stage of our yoga journey. 🌿

Another reminder that the practice goes beyond the mat what we eat, how we live and how we discipline ourselves are all part of the journey. 🤍

A wonderful presentation by Group 5 well prepared and beautifully presented. 👏❤️

Master also demonstrated and guided us through an asana, sharing a valuable technique for Supta Bandha Padmasana.

So much to learn, observe and take home from every session. 🌿✨

We wrapped up the session by celebrating our Sanyasi Sheba’s birthday. 🥰🪷

A beautiful way to end the day with laughter, love and togetherness. ✨ by @skdurai

Never in my life I did I think I could feel like a child all over again. The excitement after being praised, the loving gaze of a teacher, the proud look of a father to his daughter. Thank you master for colouring the new chapter of my life. 💖

My lovely new journey started with the love of my teacher @mythilysukumaran and it was sooo vast that it led me to master SK Durai. Through them, I learned that love and passion knows no boundary. I met so many beautiful souls along the way.🌸

Last Sunday was a moment so special, seeing all of my team members' unwavering determination and endless effort bear fruit was amazing ✨️

Cheers to the next chapter! by @skdurai

Allow me to share a little about my journey in Yoga 🌸

I still remember being on my yoga journey at another studio some time ago (years before) with no idea where I’m heading to. Then one day, one of Master’s videos went viral on TikTok & Facebook (if I’m not mistaken, it was the one where Master was sitting on a swing) while his son Ram was effortlessly executing an advanced asana right in front of him. Forgive me if I remember the details wrongly 🙏🏼 , it has been some time. Somehow, that video stayed with me. That was actually the first time I came across Master. Since then, I started following him & somewhere along the way, I started thinking, “ 1️⃣ day, I want to see him.”

After years of watching and following Master from afar, the distance to Kajang was always one of the reasons I hesitated. So when I found out I could enrol under his school at a centre closer to my home, I finally decided to take that step. Somehow, I believe the universe 🌍 knew exactly which teacher I needed. Long story short, here I am after a few years, travelling Kajang twice in a week 😇.

And I’m sharing this post today so that one day, when life gets busy & I start giving myself excuses, I can look back at this & remind myself of the privilege I had 🙌🏼 sitting in front of the person I once admired from afar 🥰.

Dearest Master 📝, I just want to say this from my🫀not even once in all these classes did I feel bored, not a single moment did I feel sleepy, not once did I feel tired of sitting there for 8 hours and learning from you. Every class, every story, every correction, every little lesson… I cherished it all😍. I enjoyed every moment 🥹, every single moment & I learned more than I can ever put into one post / caption. Whatever you have taught me, I know I will carry it with me forever not just in my practice, but within me.

Thank you Master, for tirelessly shaping me to become better human being 💫. Sometimes, before I do something or make a choice, I remember your teachings. That’s when I realise what you taught me is not just for yoga, but for life.

Thank you, Master 🙇🏻‍♀️. Thank you for everything ♥️

With 🤍,
1 of your thousands of students 👧🏻

Saturday blooms beautifully with Yoga Sutra studies with Master SK Durai.

Sutra 1.18 ✨Virama Pratyaya Abhyasa Poorvah Samskara Shesho Anyah.

With continued sadhana, the gross and subtle cognitive processes of samprajnata samadhi subside, leaving only latent impressions known as samskaras.
Even at this profound stage, liberation has not yet been attained, as the seeds of past impressions remains known as Samskara.
Let’s look into what happens to these samskaras?
Sutra 1.19 takes us deeper.

Sutra 1.19 ✨Bhava Pratyayo Videha Prakriti Layanam.

Master explained that when the body is no longer sustained, these latent impressions remain, they can lead to another birth and continuing the journey of sadhana. Through the momentum of past karma, such beings may be born with a high spiritual inclination.

As Master shared through examples such as Ramana Maharshi and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, the journey of sadhana may continue across births until the ultimate state of Kaivalya is attained.

Master related this to the life of Ramana Maharshi. When someone asked, “You don’t have a Guru, so why should we follow a Guru?” Ramana Maharshi replied, “Who said I didn’t? I had a Guru in my previous life who guided me to this state.”

This also explains his profound detachment from everything around him. Even when great saints visited him, he remained completely disinterested with anything and everything as he had already in a very high state of spiritual realization known as Kaivalya.

Thank you Master @skdurai for another insightful session today🙏
