Nail Salon turns beauty appointments into a lifeline for women needing help…

💅 A manicure can be more than just a treatment. It can be a chance for someone to feel heard, supported and signposted to help.

A huge thank you to Nicole and Lucy at Skullen Studios for taking proactive steps to support victims and survivors of domestic abuse through specialist training and new initiatives designed to create a safe and trusted environment for clients.

We’re also pleased to be launching our new Care in the Chair domestic abuse awareness webinars, helping people working across the hair and beauty sector feel more confident in recognising concerns and connecting people with support.

Officially putting Newcastle on the fashion map!!!

Last night, @somebodyelsesguy confirmed something we’ve already known for years, Newcastle has style and it always has.

Together with founder and designer Corey Dixon, we brought together some of the North East’s best creatives, familiar local faces and media friends for a night that truly celebrated fashion, sustainability and Northern talent properly, and what a night it was 🥹⚡️

A huge congrats to Corey, and everyone else who has worked so hard to bring this incredible show together, we couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this huge moment 🖤

Just a group of Geordies putting Newcastle on the fashion map 🖤⚡️🥹

Newcastle’s first-ever sustainable fashion catwalk lands at @visitnca this September, with the event being officially recognised by @londonfashionweek as of last week!! 🙂‍↕️

Whether it’s the seasonal canapés by @lubberkitchen to the @muscari_uk florals, @skullenluce nails or the city’s very own @fenwickofficial backing the event, founder and fashion designer Corey Dixon @somebodyelsesguy has spent months building a runway rooted in community, drawing in independent businesses from across the city to help bring the vision to life.

A bit of a case study with my first ever proper client 🥹

I’ve been working with the gorgeously beautiful @skullenluce and @skullenstudios for almost a year now, and what a year it’s been! 🥂❤️‍🔥

We’ve had lots of stories in the press, mainly about her fundraising for @tinylivestrust and her involvement in @londonfashionweek (yes she’s that cool.)

There are always positive stories flowing out of this fantastic wee studio, and I know there’s some even bigger things coming up that we can’t wait to shout about when the time is right!

Interestingly enough…I started out as Lucy’s client getting my brows done (fiercely well), then she became my client, but (soppy alert) more importantly I’m lucky enough to call her my friend too 💞
