Happy Friday! We're excited to drop this here 2025 Skybone animation reel! We'd like to thank each and every person involved with all of these different projects-- every artist, animator, client, musician, friend, studio, and beyond. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of the first scene of “Out for a Leisurely Bowl.”
This shot in the film was carefully constructed by each of the leads in our respective departments. As you can see, a lot of work and people are involved in just a few seconds of animation! Countless hours of human labor were spent to make sure this film felt as authentic to its inspirations as possible. It is a love letter to the craft of animation. It is truly an honor to be a part of such a special project. -Sophia Bakken

Probably you are wondering what Malt has been up to. Well, he had decided to visit his local bowling alley, where he had never been before, and right away he found the place rather curious--as I'm sure you are thinking as well.

Who is this cheerful character? Why, it is Malt the Milk the bottle, that is who. The coolest bottle of milk that you shall ever know (in both style and temperature). For far too long has he been sitting at the back of the film fridge, and it is very much time for him to come out. I have much more to tell to you, though I'm afraid you will have to wait until later on.

Another animation I did for @luckydogmusic with @skybonestudios ! This was a really fun one to do and cathartic in many ways.
Responsible for all aspects! Animated/first pass comp in toonboom harmony and final composite in davinci resolve. Had to figure out 3D stuff inside of toonboom on the fly haha
