Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of the first scene of “Out for a Leisurely Bowl.”
This shot in the film was carefully constructed by each of the leads in our respective departments. As you can see, a lot of work and people are involved in just a few seconds of animation! Countless hours of human labor were spent to make sure this film felt as authentic to its inspirations as possible. It is a love letter to the craft of animation. It is truly an honor to be a part of such a special project. -Sophia Bakken

Oh okay, I suppose I can show a trailer to you, though only a short one. And do not feel sad if it teases you--it does that to everyone.

"Out for a Leisurely Bowl", that is the name of the film.

Made by the mittens of many remarkable people.

Probably you are wondering what Malt has been up to. Well, he had decided to visit his local bowling alley, where he had never been before, and right away he found the place rather curious--as I'm sure you are thinking as well.

Nobody has the time to sit through a four-hour Metro Council meeting.

And yet, somebody from this paper was there, stayed to the end, and wrote it down so you didn't have to.

Somebody else drove out to Nolensville Pike for a coffee shop nobody had covered yet.

Somebody stayed up late to make sure you got the scoop about this year's Americana Awards.

Every week, we bring you the latest on Scene newsstands all over this city, free to whoever picks one up. We've been doing this since 1989 and we still can't quite believe we get to. It's the best job in town, and you're the reason it exists. Thank you.

Become a Nashville Scene member today, and you'll help make sure readers like you stay informed. The link is in our bio.

Who is this cheerful character? Why, it is Malt the Milk the bottle, that is who. The coolest bottle of milk that you shall ever know (in both style and temperature). For far too long has he been sitting at the back of the film fridge, and it is very much time for him to come out. I have much more to tell to you, though I'm afraid you will have to wait until later on.

(@aryliide had to help Malt with his dancing, as he wasn't quite sure on what to do.)
