These days, I can’t save the polar bears. These days I’ve just been trying to save myself.

What’s one small thing you can do today to make the universe feel a little kinder?
You can always count on me, to feed the stray cats.❤️🗽
I usually don’t post animals. We’re so concerned about “aesthetic” but we live in the real world. These things exist too.

I found these kitties in my yard last spring, and I’ve been feeding them / raising them and housing them in my yard daily. It’s taught me commitment. Consistency. Being loyal. My gypsy soul wants to travel 3 times a month, but they keep me grounded to my city. I think managing them teach us and kids, deep morals. I think empathy and compassion & kindness - starts at home. So for me- my mother always taught me to care for animals, as if they are people. I’m learning TNR too. A whole other process - There’s more than enough space for all of us on this planet. Even the cats.

Had the best time working with these productions for @telemundo
Never seen such joy and realness on set.
No pretentiousness, just community.

& got to vibe with one of my childhood heroes @laviejafefard ! 🇩🇴 + seeing Afro Dominicanas celebrated and empowered was top tier. I want to see more brown/black women front & center.

Really helped me sharpen my ideas on directing /
Producing my own future projects & documentary films.

Ok New York , lemme find out.

🇩🇴Curated my first event on the mother land and it was so pretty. Gracias a todos. Cada pieza, cada componente, cada persona, que asistio en esta idea y dieron de su energia.

Se que es un video largisimo pero es que todo detalle vale para mi. Cada momento, valido.
Hasta las plantas y los gatitos que viven en el espacio, hicieron esta noche maravilloso.

Fue mi primer evento en Republica Dominicana - y ustedes me demostraron que la comunidad es todo. Y que existe.
Que hay en el patio, demas para vivir.

El poder de crear, pensar y poner accion juntos.
