For those of you who don’t know: I began studying cadavers at @uofpenn Perelman School of Medicine a few years ago. It changed me. Notably: drawing the hands (and sometimes feet) of the deceased, both of which left a lasting impression… all the places they’ve been, the people they’ve touched, etched into stiff skin. ✍️

For me: These drawings are gestures like any other, waving hello, holding hands, making ephemeral connections.

It’s an honor to sit with them—an honor to think, feel, and discover something altogether magical, mundane, and human.
