Last weekend was a blur, but it finally happened!! First ever slackline on the @santamonicapier “pier pressure 58m ” 13 years of dreaming finally became a reality!! I couldn’t be prouder of the team that made it happen, we all had a key role to play, and just when we didn’t think it was going to happen this year, our permits were approved with less then 2 day to spare. Thanks to @katcaza @_jim_galli_ @yeahgomike @rbchapin for being the dream team, and everything you did to make this happen! by @slack_it_up

@sketchyandylewis Slacklife forever man!

You have touched so many of us in the slackline community, in so many different ways, and left a lasting impression on us all. You were the epitome of the Slacklife mentality, I’ll never forget the first day I met you, and the last day I saw you in person, just like I’ll never forget how you would always reach out to give some sage advice through texts or messages when you saw me battling my demons alone.

You always got involved and got others involved, no matter how big or small the project, you shared your endlessly bright flame to light and stoke the fires of those around you, and did it all with a infectiously larger then life smile. You never let a fellow stranger walk alone.

I once had a dream, so vivid and real I couldn’t tell if I was awake or still dreaming. in that dream words were spoken that I couldn’t get out of my head and had to write down immediately.

“Compassion, as love, and knowledge, as power, the two go hand in hand.

You cannot have love, without power, and you cannot have power, without love.

Without love, power will only be conceived with evil intent, And without power, love will remain unshared, creating a vicious cycle that spans the ages.

We must break this cycle created eons ago, spreading our compassion, and knowledge for the betterment of all, and generations to come.

even if the cycle is only broken one person at a time, the more that have joined hands in love, and compassion. Have the knowledge, and power to change the world for centuries, if not millennia, or eons to come.”
