Everyone sees the big trophies. Not everyone sees the year of losing that came first.

It took us about 10 competitions before we finally earned our first overall win... against some of the best teams in barbecue, right in my hometown.

If you’re just getting started, keep your head down and stay consistent. Give yourself a few competitions to get dialed in.

And remember: competition barbecue is a tenderness game... not a flavor game. 🏆🔥
