Our bride saw the initial moodboards for this intimate rehearsal dinner. From there, she trusted CME to take the vision all the way, surprising her in the end with what would be the first look at a warm welcome for her nearest and dearest guests.

Inspired by the high desert surrounding @juniperpreserve, we designed this intimate dinner party to feel like a natural extension of the landscape: wild, textural and elevated with the outdoors spilling effortlessly into the room. @highdesertflorals brought all the elements to truly be the cherry on top of the most stunning design.

Soft yellow brought warmth and light to the tablescape in the linens (reflecting the sunset that would beam into this room), while rich earth tones and a subtle hint of Western character offered a little preview of the welcome party still to come.

The very best designs begin with trust and end with a reveal like this. Thank you to our sweet bride for trusting us & truly giving me the opportunity to create something special 💛🤎

Creating a space that welcomes guests to an intimate dining experience is my favorite part of the design process. It’s the area guests linger the longest, share stories and new families blend over a beautiful meal. We’ve been asked several times what our signature style is and to me, it’s gathering guests at a beautiful table and giving them a reason to stay. ✨

After many years of obsessing over tabletop details, curating my own unique collection and bringing my client’s visions to life through my own pieces, I’ve decided it’s officially time to launch SLATE Event + Lifestyle Collections.

I’m Caitlin McDonald, Founder + Creative Director of @caitlinmcdonaldevents. I believe the table is where the feeling of an event begins… where guests settle in, conversations unfold and thoughtful details truly shape the experience. This is what I hope to give you with SLATE.

While our website is still under construction, you can expect to see collections ranging from neutral stoneware, to garden-inspired floral, to textural layering pieces for taper candle holders, service ware and beyond.

I can’t wait to see what you think! 🤍🫶🏼✨ taken in Bend, Oregon by @slateeventcollections
