The Saint Lucia National Culinary Team is set to take the regional stage in Barbados, with a lineup of talented chefs and bartenders from across the island. ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡จ From November 16โ€“19, 2026, the team will compete against 14 other countries at Taste of the Caribbean (TASTE), the regionโ€™s premier culinary competition, food & beverage educational exchange and Caribbean cultural showcase. Erwin Louisy has been elected unopposed as President of the SLHTA, securing a term to 2028. ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡จ The Managing Director of Barefoot Holidays DMC was returned to the post during the Associationโ€™s 62nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Wednesday, 17th June 2026 at Harbor Club. Karolin Troubetzkoy of Anse Chastanet & Jade Mountain resorts was also re-elected unopposed as Vice President. Hosted under the theme โ€˜Powering the Growth of Tourism โ€” Utilities: Essential for Saint Luciaโ€™s Futureโ€™, the AGM was presented by Liberty Business, with support from Gold Sponsor St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited and Bronze Sponsor the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority โ€œAt the start of my career I had three options: the arts, fashion or tourism.
