A night that will be remembered always. I remember being in Middle School starting my MMA journey, watching the Chosen Few fighting bouts on TV and thinking of how cool it would be to be in there. I finally lived up to a dream and a dream that I will carry on. I’m so thankful and grateful for the teammates, family, friends, and people who I don’t know that came and supported me and helped me along the way. There’s so many things in my life I can’t explain or express in words, but through action in this ring, I believed I showed who I am, my story, and my strengths, my resilience and fortitude. These last months of my life have been really rough and tough, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally; personally and impersonally. Overcoming some of the hardest things I’ve been through. I’ve learned to grow through trials and grow as an individual, taking in every moment and not just taking it for granted. I’m thankful for the gifts God has blessed me with and the people he’s put on this earth to be along side me. My life wouldn’t be the same or even kept together in one piece without Him. I’m thankful for my coaches and teammates through this camp, this camp was amazing and we learned and grew together like a brother hood; I can’t wait to see where it takes us. But in short terms, thank you and God Bless. Amen.

Sit at a desk all day, then walk into the gym and finally get to move. Hit pads. Challenge yourself. Have some damn fun.

Jayden talks about how boring sitting in school can feel compared to training. That excitement is something we understand. Like being a kid in a candy shop every time you get to do the thing you love.

Training takes discipline, but it can also be the part of your day you look forward to most.

What’s the one thing you look forward to after a long day?

They had 79 matches. Some had 100. Jayden had two, and he was only 15 competing against adults in jiu-jitsu.

Looking at their experience made him nervous. What helped was keeping it simple. Focus on his job, accept that his opponent would fight back, and have fun doing what he trained to do.

Fast forward to TBA. As soon as his hands were wrapped, he was excited to get out there.

You can respect somebody’s experience and still trust the work you’ve put in.

Have you ever counted yourself out before you even started?

One cleaner rep. One quicker decision. One mistake found and corrected. That is how real confidence is earned, not by waiting until you feel ready, but by showing up enough times to prove that you can grow.
