😏 Did someone order a VJ? 🧚‍♀️✨️📺⚡️I'm booking EoM & December gigs still - for venues/parties with projectors or where I can reasonably set up vintage CRT TVs. As a VJ, I live mix video and visuals to emphasize the aesthetics of events and complement the deejays' sound. SYLPH + Wolf Moon brings together two long-form audiovisual works by Almeda Morgan, also known through their VJ practice as slimebubble. Created through layered video, digital collage, sampling, and original DJ mixes, the works move between elemental imagery, celestial cycles, folklore, technological mediation, and the altered perception of time. SYLPH emerges from a period of pandemic isolation through the element of air, whileWolf Moon follows water, winter, lunar rhythm, and seasonal transformation. Together, the works form a shifting audiovisual environment built through rhythm, repetition, texture, and signal.

Short bio

Almeda Morgan is a Brooklyn-based visual artist, VJ, and writer working across digital assemblage, video, projection, and time-based media. Performing under the name slimebubble, Morgan began VJing within Boston’s underground music community and has since presented audiovisual work in clubs, galleries, festivals, and online broadcasts. Their practice examines how technological systems shape perception, intimacy, memory, and belief, often treating the screen as an environment or interface rather than a passive surface.

Almeda Morgan is a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist working across digital assemblage, video, performance, and writing. Their practice examines the screen as an intimate, ritual space where images become portals for exploring attention, embodiment, technology, myth, and belief. Drawing from histories of experimental media, feminist art, cybernetics, and occult practice, Morgan builds densely layered visual systems that move between abstraction, symbolism, and digital culture.

Morgan holds an MA in Art and Museum Studies from Georgetown University and a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. Their work has been supported by City Artist Corps, Ox-Bow, and BeFantastic Together. They also perform and create audiovisual work under the name slimebubble. by @slimebubble

My hip replacement surgery went well and I'm back home starting my recovery. I'm using a mobility device but getting around pretty well. I'm sore, for certain, but the underlying base chronic pain I've felt for the past two decades is just gone now. And my legs are finally the same length. Thank you everyone for your outpouring support. If you're new here, my story can be found in my recovery fund mutual aid request in my bio. I know the path ahead won't be the easiest but I am so grateful and keeping positive. 💖✨️ taken in New York, New York by @slimebubble

I/O #1 was everything

the very first @iochipmusicnyc show i played was also my first billed show ever in nyc and it happened a decade ago…i had no idea that i would be here running another version of it with old and new friends alike 10 years later but i had no idea about a lot of things back then

i am so happy to have had some small part in creating such a cool experience for everyone! it was everything i hoped for :)
