Fully healed and settled no filter Xenomorph from 1979 Alien! This is actually a favorite tattoo of mine, having the normally black shiny alien be lit up by purples and green lightning was a dream to make happen for Josh!

And a slideshow of some recent tattoos I made in my first weeks back at @madetolasttattoo

The second slide is a in progress sleeve on Brandon who I reworked his lower sleeve and then added the top recent work of the astronaut witnessing a planet collapse as he’s brought into a cosmic well.

I’ve had versions of these assembled before but I really wanna make them as lower or upper half sleeves, or as thigh pieces (side or front)

They will be priced flat rate instead of the usual hourly because I really wanna find good homes on rad people for those out of the world concepts!!

Finally got to do a true Alien Xenomorph tattoo! Josh let me get wild with the colors and go large for a half sleeve, and you can’t tell but it’s huge!

The tail section at the bottom is fresh the rest is healed -

I was very pleased with how the design came together for the pose and the tail framing it ✨ I went for the OG design with the skull showing because it’s unique and also never used again, which is too bad because I really like how it shows the creature taking on elements of its host. taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @slootattoos

Did a colorful hummingbird and florals rib piece on Amy! My favorite part when doing hydrangeas is having the little ombré color! Amy sat tough and we did this with only a few breaks in one shot! Thanks for looking !

✨👽 ANNUAL BIRTHDAY POST 👽✨

Yes yes, it’s time I take a moment to acknowledge my mortality and time on this space rock. Growing older is so bizarre, because you’re happy you’re able to perceive and love but more away of the physicality of entropy.

I am grateful for the people close to me who make and effort and care, and I am always grateful for the 17 years of tattoo clients I have been lucky enough to work with.

I will take space also for my wife Hannah @ladysharktattoos and the support and consistent love that I didn’t know existed. I’m grateful for the people in our lives that know and love us individually and together- and sharing a part of time where we get to find ourselves and make our way in an unprecedented existence.

And if you’re reading this far , you should read the Dungeon Crawler Carl, Red Riding, and Expanse book series. I know DCC is growing bigger by the week but it’s still worth the hype 🐀 taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @slootattoos

✨PLEASE READ!! ✨
Major announcement for all current and future clients! 🙇‍♂️

I am coming back to work full time at Made to Last tattoo @madetolasttattoo starting September 1st ! All currently scheduled dates on and after Sept 1st will be done at MTL and will be sent information on the transition from my email. If your appointment is before then it will be done at Ruby Tiger, same time and location nothing changed for those.

I’d like to thank the clients and people around Ruby Tiger for the last 3 years supporting and showing up for the shop and hope they continue to support a good shop and earned stature in the Charlotte tattooing community. I wish nothing but the best for them, and I’m grateful for the experience working along side Mickey and Grace, while we grow as artists and mature in our personal lives. It’s been a a heck of a time making something and I’m thankful it happened.

As the video states I will be opening my books to waitlist clients and then for everyone next week ish for new projects and clients for the end of 2026 and onward to 2027! I will be posting about it don’t worry!

I started at MTL when we opened in 2016 and over the last decade it’s been such an amazing gift to tattoo everyone and learn and grow with clients and the industry. I’m very fortunate to still be passionate and excited to tattoo and focus on just the art and process with my clients and make my best work! This October makes 17 years tattooing for me and the journey still brings me joy and purpose, and I’d like to thank everyone that has been tattooed by me and will in the future 🙏🏻 taken in Made To Last Tattoo by @slootattoos

After 4 great years at Ruby Tiger, Jeremy and I have decided to part ways with the studio. We’re so grateful for this experience of opening the shop with Mickey and Grace and we can’t wait to see what they do with RT. We’re also very grateful for the clients who moved with us back in ‘23 and supported the studio every step of the way. We’re really proud of what we helped make and while we feel this is the best move for us and our goals, we’ll miss working here ♥️Stay tuned in the next few days to hear where we’ll be tattooing next! We’ll both still be here in Charlotte (although i might be a liiiittle bit of a further drive) so if you have an upcoming appt don’t fret, we’ll keep you updated! by @slootattoos
