She’s not finished yet but we’re sooo close!! 🎃🐈🐈‍⬛
When we first toured our home we found 4 kittens in the crawl space and we took it as a sign this was our home. We started feeding their mom immediately and next thing we knew there’s about 11 cats now give or take (some come and go) that we feed. We’ve gotten 3 adopted and 1 of the older mama cats spayed, and we’re working to get the same done for each cat. The house is insulated, has a heater (connected to safe 12 gauge outdoor extension cord) and a camera to keep an eye on the babies. We’ve got more to add, like things for the roof and some small touches here and there. But we’re already seeing some of the cats enjoying the space which is so nice! We feed them every morning and night, they have a working water fountain and now a safe warm space. We know outdoor cats are not good for bird populations, which is again why we work in our free time to get them spayed and adopted out to homes we trust. We started this project in June and it’s so nice to finally see it come together more. Also so grateful for a husband who when I said I wanted to build a cat hour was all in. I’m better at remembering to take content so there’s a lot of me in this but he did the heavy lifting with most of the important stuff and def the math. The house would probably have fallen apart already without him. And if you see anything we did wrong with the build kindly don’t tell me ok 🫶🏻

Never posted these pics from an incredible night by @artpopstreetgallery where I got to see the billboard vinyl made from my oil painting that was in Charlotte for a year, then made into a piece of wearable art by the incredible @kathyrnjeannestudio and modeled by the talented @amelliahausmannart 🎨 what a wild evolution of art, I never could’ve imagined seeing something like this while painting that canvas in my living room years ago. Thank you @artpopstreetgallery and @wendyhickey_ you guys are truly amazing

✨29✨
28 was a wild lil year- we bought our dream home and learned how to build things together, filled the home with love from our friends and family, adopted a colony of strays we take care of (and are building a house for 😭), I traveled to France all on my own for my first artist residency, made artwork Im proud of- lost my lil baby boy Kahlo, and we made the hard decision to leave the studio we helped start. It was a bit overwhelming at times, I knew while I was in it it was a transitionary year, and now I feel 29 will be a fruit bearing year- I’m getting settled in to my new solo studio, I have the biggest art market I’ve ever done next week, and plans to paint more than I’ve been able to in my adult life.
And every step I’ve taken I’ve had @slootattoos right next to me, encouraging and comforting and taking big leaps with me. The best teammate I could’ve dreamed of. And im so grateful for the friends I’ve had by my side this year. I am blessed more than I can express in an Instagram caption 💖

After 4 great years at Ruby Tiger, Jeremy and I have decided to part ways with the studio. We’re so grateful for this experience of opening the shop with Mickey and Grace and we can’t wait to see what they do with RT. We’re also very grateful for the clients who moved with us back in ‘23 and supported the studio every step of the way. We’re really proud of what we helped make and while we feel this is the best move for us and our goals, we’ll miss working here ♥️Stay tuned in the next few days to hear where we’ll be tattooing next! We’ll both still be here in Charlotte (although i might be a liiiittle bit of a further drive) so if you have an upcoming appt don’t fret, we’ll keep you updated!

We had the best time and it was so inspiring to be surrounded by so many local creatives. Getting to have a painting in this show is definitely in my top list of art opportunities ive gotten to do. I’ll be posting that piece soon and the beautiful dress @perrinedeshield created that accompanies it in The Mint (you can see it now till June 2nd!) A huge huge thank you to Perrine and the @minttobeclt team for creating such an incredible opportunity and experience for Charlotte creatives. I’ll be thinking about this night/show for a long time!!
