You do not need to read AND watch the movie to join. All folks are welcome to talk about this piece of queer literature and media 🥰 by @sloqueers

AUGUST BOOK: a dead djinn in cairo by p. djeli clark ☀️ this short story is the one of many preludes to p. djeli clark’s novel a master of djinn! short and sweet, under 50 pages, you could read this in one sitting and the. join us on sunday august 23 from 6-7pm. we will be meeting at @twobroadscider 💜 by @sloqueers

look at all this pretty drinks!!! i thoroughly appreciate the crowd we had last night - 13 folks came to talk about maggie the mechanic. unfortunately this book is definitely a product of its time, and is quite misogynistic, racist, and sexist. regardless, it was good to visit something from the 80s with a critical lens.

for august we will be reading A Dead Djinn in Cairo by P. Djèlí Clark! this short novella should be a nice breezy read for the hot summer month. we will be meeting sunday august 23rd from 6-7 pm at @twobroadscider 💜✨ taken in Two Broads Ciderworks by @sloqueers
