Guten tag meine ghule und kobolde! This week has been intense, I’m sure for all of us participating in the season. I tend to go a bit ambitious with these, and that is I part because I believe part of the purpose of this is to challenge myself. That being said, I gotta go to work the next two days, then I’m off the rest of the month for this epic quest. The Season is a time for growth in my opinion, and it’s one of the reasons I love it as an event.

So for @craig.gleason ‘s gang and for todays prompt from the Ssason of the Bad Guys Club 8, we’ve got the theme Cold Blooded Killer. While I know the intention around this is to draw a reptile, I bent the rules a bit, because I had an amphibious idea that just wouldn’t let me go; I needed Queer Punk Frog and Toad. Gender Bent, Having a gay ol’ time, really just leaning into that summer romp.

Reminded this entire time of the story of the author and illustrator of Frog and Toad, Arnold Lobel, who 4 years after starting the books, came out as gay to his friends and family. His family liked to think that this was part of his way of processing and working through these feelings he had kept quiet. I think it’s also important to remember that Arnold was an early victim of the AIDS crisis, and passed away in 1987. I think honoring the memory of queer folk that came before us is so critical for our history and our joy.

Been also thinking about all the book bans on our lives and histories, the increasing policing of trans and queer people, and the legislation against our bodies. We need to protect these queer and trans kids from those who wish to harm them. We have to combat bigotry directly, or else we as a society will grow tolerant of this hate that seems to be spreading with every day. Tell the queer people in your lives that they are important and perfect just the way they are. We can’t change everyone’s minds on the subject, but we can fight like Hell to protect ourselves. We need accomplices, not allies, at this point. Much love and happy inking.

Guten abend Meine ghule und kobolde! We did it! I know this month has 31 day, but we’re gunna count 15 as half way there!! (at least it is by the middle of the day, lol) It’s amazing how much dope artwork I’ve gotten to see this month. It will never cease to amaze me how much creativity there is in our community. God bless the Season Gang.

So for day 15, we have one of the most classic characters created by Craig Gleason; the Skeledevil!! I absolutely adore this demonic entity. He really rides the line when it comes to one of those “what am I dealing with here.” Half skeleton, half devil, part costume, part reality. Something about this dood makes me want to see them do motorcycle stunts but from Hellish Horseback. I feel like they want to flex. Just a cool damn dood.

With that, here we find ourselves! Having crested past that halfway mark! Let’s fucken goooooo!!! So stoked to see the direction everyone takes with their work for the next half a month and beyond! Let’s keep killing it out here, and Happy Inking!! 🦥✨

Guten abend meine ghule und kobolde! It’s been a Hell of a blast getting see the amazing and incredible pieces made thus far this Season. It’s so sick and inspiring to see the amazing pieces coming up every day on my feed. Can’t get over how massive the Season of the Bad Guys Club has truly become!

For day 14, we have the Invisible Man! As a kid, my parents were incredibly censorious when it came to the entertainment I was allowed to consume. Much of the movies and shows I had seen up until I was a young teen were mostly shot in the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. As a kiddo with an early penchant for horror, classic creepy flicks like this were my bread and butter. Will never tire of these older horror films. There is a reason this has become an endearing and enduring classic!

With that said, I hope the week treats you as well as possible, that you have much success in your artistic endeavors, and that you have some time to watch a classic horror movie at some point this month. So much love to the Gang as we make our way to the halfway point! And, of course, happy inking! 🦥✨

Guten morgen meine ghule und kobolde! We made it final to Lucky 13, the Thirteenth day of of this amazing Season of the Bad Guys Club! I’m dumbfounded seeing all the awesome renditions to these amazing Prompts! This list has been such a joy to watch unfold, and as we approach the half way mark, I just want to say how proud of us all I am!

So for day 13, we have the Bone Head! Who doesn’t love a skeletal baddie? Decided that this is the place for a self insert. Nothing like the memento mori of drawing a self portrait as a corpse. Really tends to put it all into perspective. We only have the time we have to share what we have to share with the world till we don’t. So strike while the iron is hot, because it once it cools, it tends to keep that final shape.

Much love to all of the Gang! Especially Craig Gleason. The Master of Ceremonies really is such a badass. Always stunned to see all of what he makes, let alone arranges, for these seasons. Truly an absolute legend. With that, get to those projects, and happy inking!! 🦥✨

Guten abend meine ghule und kobolde. I hope the day has treated you kindly, and a bright star has been guiding you through your day. It’s been a Hell of a Season thus far, and I’m just flabbergasted by the intensity of the pieces I’ve been seeing the Gang of us put forward. It’s remarkable!

So, for day 12 of the Season of the Bad Guys Club, we have the legendary theme of drawing a Yokai. Decided to go with the classic long-nosed Konoha-Tengu. I can’t imagine how terrifying it would have been back in the day, trying to make one’s way through the precarious mountain landscapes on a journey in ancient Japan, thinking these creeps were waiting around any corner to grab a passerby. Thankfully, according to lore, they were somewhat humorous, and somehow easily tricked on occasion. Such an amazing design, legend, and creature.

With that said, it’s been a serious journey we have all been on together. It’s so inspiring to see the culmination of our strong group efforts. Can’t wait to see all the amazing Yokai that get dropped by the Gang today. Much love and happy inking!! 👺🦥✨

Guten abend meine ghule und kobolde! It’s been quite the misadventure thus far for all of us in the gang working on the Season. I’m truly stunned every year at the absolute outpouring of skill and craftsmanship when it comes to seeing folks work their way through these amazing prompts!

For day 11, we have the stellar prompt the Space Skank. Always love the energy sewn into each of these Alien Baddies. It’s definitely on my top favorite prompts for the whole of the season. Decided to reprise some of the crop circle themes tattooing once again. Had a lot of fun on this one too.

Can’t wait to see everyone’s rendition of these Lovely Extraterrestrials. It’s been really nice to jump back into the mix with this Season, and the support and kindness within this community is so fantastic and appreciated. Sending good vibrations to all who are grinding it out still, and happy inking! 🦥✨

Guten abend meine ghule und kobolde! Holy cannoli! I almost can’t believe that we hit the day 10 mark! A third of the way through the Eleventh Annual Season of the Bad Guys Club! Just soo stoked to see what an absolute gang of badasses that we have managed to assemble for this massive group undertaking. It’s been nothing but impressive to see everyone’s gallant efforts and enthusiasm!

So, for day 10, we have the fantastic theme S.O.B. (Son of a Bitch). There is truly nothing quite like man’s best friend. I got a huge soft spot for dogs and the wondrous variety of shapes and sizes they come in. Decided to draw a Punk as Hell Bedlington Terrier, spike collar, anti-fascist buttons, second hand leather, all on the colors of Bedlington itself. Always had such love for the Lamb Cut style of grooming used for Bedlingtons. They really are such lovely dogs. Anywho. Gotta love drawing a dog dood.

With that said, I hope that this weekend is off to a peaceful, well-paced, but gentle start for everyone. I hope the moves you make towards finishing your creative tasks goes well, and that a steady hand and sturdy heart guide you though your creative pursuits! Thanks again for all the support from the Season Community. This project would be nothing without all of us grinding it out together. Much love and happy inking!! 🦥✨

Guten abend meine GHULE und kobolde! Here’s a prayer that the universe has been treating you kindly. I hope the month of intensive art-making has been going as smoothly as possible for everyone participating! Still can’t get over how dope all the artwork I’ve seen coming from this month has been! It’s such a trip. I love the Season!

So for day 9 of the Season of the Bad Guys Club, we have one of the most beloved and iconic characters created by Craig Gleason; the Ghoul!! Always love this psychedelic rainbow Nosferatu creep. In my mind, these things are Interdimensional vampires, just popping through spacetime, to try out as many different formats of blood-like substances, from all over the multiverse. Though I don’t know there true origin or explanation, this feels right. Love the damn Ghoul. Easily on my top three of Craig’s character designs!

With that, I want to thank everyone for their sweet and kind words. It’s been really delightful to try and get back into the swing of things and post art again. Much love to the entire Season Gang. This truly is the most magical time of the year! Happy inking! ✨🦥

Guten abend meine ghule und kobolde. We’ve done it! We’ve passed the mark of the week of this Season of the Bad Guys Club! Stoked to participate in this one of a kind event, and to see all those contributing to the community project! I’ve found myself flabbergasted by the efforts being put forward!

For the 8th day of the Season, we have a new prompt for the list this year; the Dungeon Dweller! I’ve had such a deep soft spot for all the creepos wandering the depth of the dungeons of the Craigverse. I know they typically are skeletal armored baddies, but I saw a little animated piece that Craig conceived a while ago. He called it Experimenting, which I think is a beautiful name for such an auspicious creep. Love the idea that this dude operates in the world with just their legs, torso, and head. Had to give them an epic saber. I love these ones sometimes described as Spanish Anti-Cavalry Swords, just because they seem so impractical, yet have a perfect little rounded handle that would allow our friend to take steps while still wielding their blade.

Had too much fun with the scribble stippling for all the texture here. It’s nice to have a piece that leans far into the ink side of things, with minimal color. Here is a prayer that all of the projects everyone is cranking out go as smoothly as possible. Sending so much love out to the Gang as we make our way through this month. We got this! Happy inking! 🦥✨

Guten abend meine ghule und kobolde! I almost can’t believe it. Holy shit! A whole week! Seven days! 168 hours! 10,080 minutes! 604,800 seconds! It’s wild to look at time in this way. It’s also just as, if not more, wild to see how much we’ve all accomplished with that same time. We’re kicking this months ass!

So for day 7 of the Season of the Bad Guys Club, we have the theme Pest! Nothing like a nasty creepy crawly creature to get the blood pumping! Decided to do a drawing of the most foul pest I could think of; the Lich-possessed Snail from Adventure Time. I can think of no darker bug in existence. There is something so funny and horrifying as a being capable of the destruction of time, space, and not just in our own universe, but the tethers that tie the entire multiverse apart, only to have those powers fail you, and to end up in the weak (in comparison) body of a little snail. The ultimate impotence. Drew this whole thing a bit bigger than a quarter, so I feel like I fit a lot into a little here.

With that said, I hope that everyone has as excellent a day as possible, that your artistic endeavors go smoothly, and happy inking y’all! 🦥✨

Guten abend meine ghule und kobolde. Hope the day has been a solid start for everyone, and that the start of your week has been going smashingly. I have felt absolutely gassed up seeing all the undeniably fun and profound work being put out this month for the Season of the Bad Guys Club. Much love to our One and Only Shot Caller Craig Gleason. Our gang is strong.

With that, we have day 6; the Juice Brothers. This is a new prompt for this years’ Season, and I can’t wait to see all the forlorn fruity freaks that are created today. I decided to add a Pomegranate to the list of those fruit fiends. This one has come down with a case of Pomegranate Rot. They are leaking juices all over the place as the arils (little fruit pieces in a Pom) are literally falling out of their head. Not a great day for this Pom. Felt like Berried Alive was the only way to go for the merch for this one. Definitely the soundtrack to the demise of a fruit.

I’m so stoked to see where this Season takes us all. It’s remarkable to think of the hundreds of hands and minds working away simultaneously and grinding out piece after piece this month. May your pen and brush strokes be steady (and all the other amazing mediums). This creative project is such a thrill and I can’t wait to see all the wild fruit fiends y’all come up with! Much love and happy inking!! 🦥✨

Guten abend meine ghule und kobode! Can’t believe we are already rounding the bend on making it through the first week of this Season of the Bad Guys Club! It’s absolutely astonishing to see how much work is getting put in by the Gang each time this special celebration comes around. I’m so stoked and inspired by the amazing pieces I’ve been seeing! This truly is the best time of year.

For day 5 of the Season, we have the theme Haunted Tree. Decided a portrait of of one related to another rendition I did years previously. Love the idea of a destroyed forest putting all of its pain and misery into the last unfelled tree, creating a sentient wooden golem to attack those who punished nature itself. A Plant Elemental. Feels healing to imagine honestly, especially considering the ecological circumstances and consequences of our times.

It really is astounding to work alongside so many talented folks in the same but entirely different directions. Seeing how each of us work out these prompts into fleshed out creations. Here’s to hoping for swift and enjoyable creative flows for all participants. There is nothing like this but this, and it is because of all our combined efforts. Much love and happy inking! 🦥✨
