Here comes a long overdue POV- the best fun I’ve had in a while.
Had a blast running with the @northeast_track_club crew on Sunday. Weather held up nicely, cool and dry most of the time. I almost forgot how much I used to enjoy a simple HPDE day- no instructing, no hosting or competing, but just driving. The last session of the day I put on some new @toyotires R for a quick heat cycle, but ended up having the best fun I’ve had in the past few months as I gotta run with some BIG BOYS. I was so focusing on changing new setup/dialing,pushing over time but ignoring that sometime all I really need is just some seat time to adapt and learn more about the car. And it worked out so well as I had more communication with the car towards the end of the day surprisingly.
And it’s about time for a quick rehab and summer break. Heads down, more work to do. See y’all soon!

Isn’t it ART?
Well I wish my front lip wasn’t scraping but at least it looks dramatic and cinematic. Ugh..

Thanks, @devon_meadows ā€˜s wallet, @windshadowstudios for the great capture as usual and also @nasa_ne for the weekend. taken in New Jersey Motorsports Park - NJMP by @slowe92m3

It took me a while to make this post since it’s not the usual one to celebrate a win or to embrace a tough one- Just like never ever I’d have thought that these could be the last few laps of my original motor when these photos were taken by @windshadowstudios, and this day would come so soon-
Yes, it’s confirmed. Crank seized, saw massive of metal pieces inside of the oil filter, engine is roasted.
It was supposed to be a good weekend with some good stories to be told in terms of result. Car felt great overall, did a 1:09.88 on the last lap of the last session with a sick body, which secured a win and also P2 overall. The next day all in a sudden it’s gone- 2nd session, 2nd lap, turn 5, steering got locked up, slowly stopped on the grass, car shut itself and won’t fire up again, got towed… and the rest was history. No symptom, no drama, not even a single drip of oil/fluid.
Been talking to a lot of people lately trying to figure out what’s going on(Thank you all for your patience!!!), and did some research myself- mostly it’s the main bearing failure since I just got the new rod bearings in last winter. It’s a rare case obviously since s65 is pretty bulletproof, but I wouldn’t say it’s the end of the world. 110k miles, from my daily drive to dozen of track miles, I can’t blame it at all.
I must be lying if I say it’s not a setback, mostly major- The self doubts are definitely there. Just when you thought you’ve done all the preventative maintenance and baby the engine enough, it dropped a bomb on you, cuz you never know what could happen. Did I out drive the car? Did I put it beyonds the limit? What did I do? More precisely- were there anything I could’ve done differently to prevent it from the beginning? Probably I would figure out everything one day or I will just have to live with it. But there’s one thing I’m not lying- I’m not cheating. Winning or losing, I didn’t lie to the process. I drove the shit out of myself and the car every time as it was my last, and make sure that I can walk out of it proudly.
There’s definitely a comeback, in the best form, but there’s probably no timeline, like I always said, until next time.
Thank you all, good night by @slowe92m3

What are the odds of two E46 325s in completely different forms randomly showing up at the same Sunoco gas station?

Best lap from Thunderbolt last weekend — 1:24.585.
295/35/18 RE71-RS, 5 HCs, 322 avg whp, 3276 lbs.

Going into the weekend, I wasn’t expecting much. The E92 had been in hibernation for almost 10 months, with basically no development, and getting back into TT was a last-minute decision.

Friday was a bunch of 1:28s. Just knocking the rust off and telling myself I was there to chill.

Then Saturday morning happened.

I felt it again — the competition, the paddock energy, chasing people, and that feeling of being completely alive behind the wheel.

At that point, I ran out of excuses.

@loulieberman was working his magic in the Subies, Eric @main_line_motorsport was flying again in a non-aero, stock-interior Supra, and the Mid-Atlantic guys came ready to fight even with Thunderbolt being new to many of them.

We made a few tweaks, I found my rhythm again, and the times kept dropping.

P2 Day 1. P1 Day 2. More importantly, I drove everything I had out of myself and left nothing behind. For those few laps, I drove like they were my last — and suddenly, I could breathe again.

This year was supposed to be about spending as much time as possible in the Spec E46. Driver mod first, which meant basically no development on the E92. So being only a few tenths off my Hoosier PB on 200TW tires, in much warmer conditions, tells me that seat time has been working.

Should I have brought the Hoosiers? Probably.
But why can’t we have more fun?

Thanks @nasa_ne for another great weekend, My team @gear.247 for the last-minute prep, and all the friends and competitors who made it what it was.

Just like Lou said - Win or lose, it’s always about the competition.

It’s been a roller coaster of a year, but turns out the competitive side of me wasn’t gone — it just needed waking up.
See y’all on the next one

Been buried at work lately, but all the Gridlife photos and footage have me itching to get back out there… so here’s a little recap.

Took @slowe92m3 out of hibernation after being a garage queen for almost nine months just for @hookedondrivingne’s annual @starsstripesandspeed event at WGI.

Pulled the rear subframe, replaced the snapped sway bar, serviced the brakes, changed just about every fluid, did an alignment, and reinstalled the freshly refinished @zebulon_motorsport aero… all within 24 hours. Another @gear.247 miracle (or more realistically, @yolo_f22 miraclešŸ˜‚).

The car was flawless for all three days—lap after lap without a single issue. Was off pace by quite some over the weekend and didn’t really put down any significant lap time since the only tires I had were some 2024 Supercar 3 scrubs. Best lap was a 2:03, but thanks to @echowhiskey17 we came away with a ton of useful data on tire temps, pressures, and damper changes. Now it’s time to study.

Honestly… I have no idea what the next chapter is for this car—or even when it’ll be back on track. Maybe I could use some advice from you folks? taken in Watkins Glen International by @slowe92m3

Hey @subaru_usa — it’s 2026, and yes, it’s real.

We finally got the chance to install the @formula.delta oil pan on the shop BR86. Fitment was extremely tight with the JDL 4-2-1 header, and we ended up replacing the Cusco engine mounts with Perrin engine mounts to make everything work properly.

Huge thanks to @project_grip for the generous info and guidance.

Weather wasn’t perfect on test day, but the improvement was already clear — especially through the high-G corners. Oil pressure stayed consistently above 65 psi on Vitour P1 tires, which is a big step in the right direction.

Looking forward to seeing how it performs when we can really go full send.

Until then, we keep pushing. taken in Highland Park, New Jersey by @slowe92m3
