Link w bio EN: It’s been a while since we designed and built Adam Mirek’s website. In the meantime, it went on to win an Awwwards recognition. 🏆 How do you design one home on the internet for a creator with millions in reach? The full process, from strategy to final result, is in the case study on our new site. Link in bio by @slowrat_design
Some projects stay with you longer than the campaign that launched them. Come Where the Dream Rests in the Shell is one of those, so we’re bringing it back. This identity for Gdańsk City Gallery grew out of a conversation between voice and form, sound and textile, the human and the animal. That’s the space Antonina Nowacka and Tomasz Umbras built together, curated by Gabriela Warzycka-Tutak. Our job wasn’t to illustrate that conversation. It was to find a visual language soft enough to hold it without flattening it. We landed on baroque ornament: curling forms in warm cream, cobalt, and aged gold. The type follows the same rule. Nothing sits straight, nothing is perfectly symmetrical. We usually reach for bold and high-contrast work. This time softness felt like the right call, and it held its own just fine.

A wildlife rescue station, an ecocentre, a land trust – one team, three completely different logos. We gave Huslík a single identity that finally speaks with one voice. Warm, alive, built to grow. Months later they launched a forest kindergarten. It just fit – no redesign needed. That’s the difference between a logo and a brand system. Everyone wants fast and cheap right now and it’s the worst possible time to want that. A study of 200+ designers found over half of them worry AI is lowering the quality bar. The side effect? Everything starts to look the same. One line stuck with me: „Speed will stop being impressive. Everyone is going to be fast.” If everyone’s about to be fast and ok, your brand won’t stand out by being fast. It’ll stand out on the decisions no prompt can make for you. Anyway… that’s me, in one of the prettiest corners of Prague (Grébovka), still „just sending one last email.” Slowing down is clearly a work in progress 😊 by @slowrat_design
By keeping the base illustration constant and only swapping the "sticker" on top, the studio built a format that can absorb new SKUs, seasonal drops, and even market-specific flavour notes without ever needing a redesign. #packagingdesign by @slowrat_design Photography: Filip Beránek Brand strategy: Lenka Sršňová Brand strategy: Michal Kříž by @slowrat_design
