I’ve been waiting all summer to finish this film, and now I don’t want to let it go. I cried every day of editing for the first week just listening to speeches and piecing together the intro. Brian and Teagan’s story is big. It’s big in the bright blaze of falling in love quickly; big in understanding that there is no fragility in how they love each other and how they stand by their families. My heart is a sopping mess, but I can’t forget the humor. And fun. And so much food. Brian and Teagan, you are my dreams. I’ll be staying in your orbit! As a videographer, what makes a wedding feel like gold? Footage doesn’t make a film without connection. A gorgeous design looks beautiful, but you’ll keep watching your film decades down the road because of the people. The unconditional love of your family and friends. The shoulder pats, nervous hands, winks, tears and cackling laughter that comes with the dance floor. Stories are created from people, and the people make wedding gold. So grateful for these two amazing dads who were so willing to share their love for their kids. When those details are so good even the vendors squeak with excitement. Alexa and Taylor's wedding was a full-blown garden wedding at the Speed Art Museum, and every detail was full of color, life and texture. The aisle meadow was turned into a serpentine showpiece in the reception, and the guests were in awe!
