Places “Vivek” has travelled with Upon Starvation in the last 6 months! ❤️‍🩹 Vivek won the Best International Short Film Award at the film’s Ireland Premiere. The film was screened in the Testing Limits Programme at the prestigious 34th Ireland’s Gaze International LGBTQIA Film Festival held at the Light House Cinemas in Dublin 🇮🇪🏳️‍🌈 Thank You @gazefilmfest and @townmice for the award and the love! ♥️ Vivek also was a part of the annual PRIDExFILM Weekend 2026. Curated with so much love by @jdsarkar and organised by @gaysifamily 🏳️‍🌈 Vivek was kind enough to let the director of the film engage in a round table discussion on the subject “Are Indian Queer Films Still Playing It Safe?”. Hosted endearingly by Prathyush Parasuraman! Vivek also partied at the Gala! 💃 @nainasareen @ashutoshs.shankar @shubhamxnegi @jahanbakshi @shyenr @tejashende Vivek found people better than Kartik! 🏳️‍🌈💃❤️‍🩹 Vivek finds the Mexican translation of the films title HOT 🥵🥵🥵 The film screened at the 30th Festive Mix Mexico which was also its Mexican Premiere! 🇲🇽 Having roamed the streets of South Bombay as a teenager, Vivek would have never thought, his film would be screening inside Liberty Cinemas! The film had its Mumbai Premiere at the 17th Kashish Pride Film Festival, Mumbai! Vivek received the golden butterfly for the BEST STUDENT SHORT AWARD! #mumbaidiaries Vivek took all the pictures but shied away from coming to the stage! A big big hug to @shazia.iqbal8 and @maanvigagroo for giving the kindest and the most apt Jury Citation for the film till date! Thank you for loving and championing us! 🏳️‍🌈❤️‍🩹 And of course a huge thank you to @sridharrangayan and @saagar.the.ocean for keeping the festival going and reaching new heights every year! 🌸 The team who made the film also saw it on the silver screen for the first time! 🥺🫂♥️ Vivek had a homecoming when the film was screened at the 10th Out and Loud Pune International Queer Film Festival 2026 @outloudpiqff 🏳️‍🌈 Dearest @ashutoshs.shankar received the award for the Best Indian Short Film (Narrative) on Vivek’s behalf.
