* I only rode 7 races and never won one… but with this review on Fox Sports I feel like I have. Especially coming from Richie Migliore, Andy Serling and Laffit Pincay jr. I am blown away and humbled! by @smalltheplay

Starting late can feel like standing on a chopping block. But Robert said the shift was simple - they're not there to watch you fail. They're there to find the person they want. #AuditionJourney #LateBloomer #CreativeGrowth #DanceCommunity #MindsetShift by @smalltheplay

This is your last chance to check out SMALL - A true story of big dreams, written & performed by Robert Montano at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theater in New York City.
Playing through Saturday, July 25th only! ⭐️

”Robert Montano, a bullied Puerto Rican/Italian boy shares a wild autobiographical ride about the wears of childhood, family, racism, and the misunderstood life of being a jockey. Nearly ravaged by addiction in order to stay “SMALL,” Montano ignites complex and universal themes of struggle and sacrifice to pursue a passionate dream, first to race horses and then to be a professional dancer. A Rocky story of the racetrack, SMALL is about a boy transforming into a man by following his heart… and his feet.”

Tickets from $42 with the code SMALL42 ✨

𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐒𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘 𝐈𝐍 𝐍𝐘𝐂 🐎

There’s something incredibly special about a one-person show that completely immerses you in someone else’s world, and 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐨 does exactly that. Written and performed by 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝘚𝘔𝘈𝘓𝘓 follows Bobby (Robert), a kid from Long Island chasing his dream of becoming a jockey.

What starts at 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 becomes a funny, heartfelt, and deeply moving coming-of-age story about identity, ambition, family, and finding your place in the world.

Whether you’re a lifelong theatre fan or just looking for something unique to see in NYC, this is one of those shows that sticks with you long after you leave the theater.
