Summer in Saratoga — another summer spent at Adult Summer Camp. I’ve been late to post, but we went straight from Saratoga to Alaska, so I’m just catching up. Highlights: our third and final Embrace the Belmont event at UPH, seeing Jelly Roll at SPAC, hiking and biking with my friend Dorothy, running the Firecracker 4-miler, hiking with the Albany Ski Club, fire tower hikes, a trip to NYC with Frankie—and seeing “Small” while we were there. The annual Racing and Rosé Miss Scarlett Fashion Show, more hiking, the annual NY Race Track Chaplaincy brunch, Fashionable Fillies (and meeting Maura), the THS Phillip Phillips concert, dinners at Solevo, and spending time with our friends Dorothy and Dan. I love you, Saratoga Springs. We’ll be back soon!

We saw Robert Montano's extraordinary one-man show "Small" at the Signature Theatre Company. He tells the story of his life ("from the saddle to the stage") as a kid growing up on Long Island with dreams of becoming a race horse jockey who eventually finds his way to the Broadway and TV/movie stages. He is a quadruple-threat performer (singer, dancer, actor, writer) who dazzles the audience with an hour and a half non-stop monologue filled with unbridled passion and raw emotional expression, playing multiple characters throughout his life with an astonishing ease and brilliance.

My friend Susan DiGilio (former dancer and Radio City Rockette) attended Adelphi University with Robert, along with Jonathan Larson (RENT) and director Todd Robinson, who is developing Small for the big screen.

Can't wait to see it. Keep your eyes on this remarkable story!

Former racehorse jockey tells his life story in a one act play that will knock your socks off. So proud of Robert one of the Adelphi dance colleagues that has come full circle in his performance life & we are so proud of him. there are only a few performances left and run to see this. It's right in the theater district and theater row. Have a La Scala salad at Joe Allen @joeallen0883 and enjoy the show! @molloyrogers
