Now here’s a little story that must be told...

I had one of my best performances in this fight. I also walked out of it with my nose on the other side of my face. I hit Peter with everything I had. If I had a kitchen sink I would’ve hit him with that too but he just wouldn’t go down. Then early in the 5th round he threw a hook kick. I saw his heel fly in front of my eyes and felt a click then a warm oozing from my nose. “Well that’s probably not good” was my thought. Finished the round and went to my corner and they gave me a strange look. Got my hand raised, a shiny new belt, and when I finally got back to the locker room, a rearranged face. Now you think that this story is over but it’s ready to begin...

So my nose is clearly in need of some straightening so I go to the ringside Dr. to see what he can do. Again, the strange look! He gives it a try, I almost pass out. He then tells me he can’t get a proper grip, that I gotta do it myself. Now I have the strange look! Ok, 2 tears in a bucket, fxkit, let’s do this! First try I hear some grinding and feel it move a bit, and oh shooting pain but it only moved a little. Second try, more shooting pain, I see a flash of white light and my knees buckle a little. Ok I’m done, give me my medical slip I’ll have this fixed by a professional. I should’ve gone straight to the ER but I wanted to celebrate my win, too many of my big wins I spent at the ER. Went the next day... To late to reset it, it’s already solidifying. Will need to rebrake it and have a plastic surgeon reset it. Did I tell you the Fight was a week before Xmas? Try to find a plastic surgeon in the country around Xmas. So I looked at myself, I could breathe out of both nostrils. Well I wasn’t that good looking to begin with, I guess this is my new face!

Moral of the story... Some guys just won’t get knocked out. Some Fights don’t end up the way you think it will. Keep your hands up high and go to the ER even if you don’t want to! #UntilTheWheelsFallOff

Clear concise cornering from the lead voice, essential for a fighter to get the most crucial information they need in the short amount of time they have between rounds.
Here we see @coachrudi getting his advice delivered in a proper fashion to @jacob_a_n_ at @centralcoastfc_ccfc in Santa Cruz

21 Years as a Gym owner… still in the Game!

Being a Martial Arts/Gym owner has always been a Labor of Love. Because the truth is, if you don’t Love this business, you will not be successful at it. But Love is not an emotional feeling, it is not based on what makes the Ego happy. Love is the quality of the energy you put into something. Love is what you Give not what you Get. So if you truly Love something, give it all that you have and never stop!

Bad News!

Unfortunately @marioe0 opponent had to pull out of the Fight for health reasons. This is the sucky part of the Fight Game. Regardless, I am super proud of Mario. He made weight 2 days ago and was the lightest he’s ever been since he started competing.

But Mario and @coachrudi will still be in attendance to support the show and enjoy a night of Fights. Please come join us!

We will regroup and get him on another card asap. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket to come and support him. Please reach out to Mario to exchange your ticket for a refund if you’re not coming. Sorry guys… On to the Next! taken in Mission Peak Sportsplex by @smashfighter

We want to thank @onechampionship for the opportunity to Fight on the world stage. The experience has been great!

We are looking forward to what’s next! There are some great Fights to be made here in North America and some interesting new promotions that are making noise here in the US.
